Ouch, she went there! Former Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman has more than a few regrets about her time in Bachelor Nation — including the man she chose. To refresh your memory, let's take a trip back in time.

The year is 2014. In yet another tumultuous season of the hit ABC franchise, Andi has found herself torn between three men: seemingly-perfect Josh Murray, sultry Nick Viall, and stable Chris Soules. Ex-attorney Andi ultimately gave her final rose to Josh, but things quickly soured after he proposed. Off-camera, Andi claimed Josh was controlling, manipulative, and emotionally abusive, per Bustle.

Andi documented her rollercoaster relationship in her 2016 memoir, It's Not Okay. Josh later even bashed Andi to USA Today while looking back on their split, comparing her to the Devil. He went on to become engaged to Bachelor alum Amanda Stanton during Bachelor in Paradise, but Amanda echoed Andi's allegations against Josh. "His anger issues are really bad," Amanda wrote in her book Now Accepting Roses, as excerpted by Us Weekly

So it makes sense that Andi wishes she did things differently during her season! So who does Andi wish she picked as her fiancé instead? Keep scrolling to find out!

Andi Dorfman wishes she had gotten engaged to runner-up Chris Soules

Andi Dorfman does not want to live with Bachelorette regrets. On the Jan. 27, 2021 episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast, Andi said she would not even pick runner-up Nick Viall now. Her true No. 1 Bachelorette contestant? None other than her third place contender, Chris Soules

"He was my buddy, my friend. Chris was like my safety blanket," Andi revealed. "He was the guy I could go on a date with and I knew that we would have a good time. There wasn't a ton of pressure."

So why didn't Andi get engaged to Chris? "I knew when the final three came down, I needed to actually get serious about these final two. So I kind of had to remove him as a safety net," Andi admitted. "But it definitely wouldn't have been Nick. It wouldn't have been anyone else, I don't think."

While Andi and Nick are still friends, according to US Weekly, she is currently single. Chris went on to become The Bachelor in 2015, but similarly called off his engaged to winner Whitney Bischoff, per People. The Iowa native was also back in the news in 2018 after leaving the scene of a hit-and-run where a 66-year-old Army veteran died, as reported by Good Morning America. Chris' guilty plea may not have fazed Andi, but it seems maybe hindsight isn't always 20/20!
