90 Day Fiance: The Real Reason Julia Threatened To Move Back To Russia

Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé is as exciting as any other, with a cast of couples ranging from the cute to the ridiculous. In true 90 Day Fiancé style, some seem like a match made in heaven, and others more like a match made in reality TV hell. One couple, Stephanie and Ryan, seem to love each other despite repeated infidelities (it is reality TV after all!), and then there are miserable Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva

One couple that's turning heads is Julia Trubinka and Brandon Gibbs. Julia, who is from Russia, met U.S.-born Brandon over Facetime when she was introduced through a friend of a friend. Well, one thing led to another, and soon enough, they were engaged and living on Brandon's parent's farm.

Yes, farm. If you're a little put off by the idea of heavy farm work, then you'd get along well with Julia, who, it turns out, hates farming. This clash has been the cause of many a fight on the ol' homestead. Add that to Brandon's attitude and the rift between Julia and Brandon's parents, and you've got all the ingredients for a great reality storyline.

Things came to a head, though, in a Season 8 episode when Julia put her foot down and threatened to move back to Russia, and it turns out Julia is fed up with a lot more than Brandon's lousy attitude.

Brandon and Julia want different lives

Things went from bad to worse for Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubinka in Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé when Julia finally put her foot down. After yet another day of unrewarding farm work, Julia called Brandon and told him she was done. Done with Virginia, done with the farm, and done with him if he didn't agree to move out of his parents' house. "Brandon, you know what? I look like a pig!" she sobbed. "I want to leave now!"

Brandon hemmed and hawed and attempted to comfort Julia by assuring her he didn't bring her to the States so that she could work on a farm. Considering that Julia did spend the last few weeks working on a farm, we definitely see where she's coming from. When Julia told Brandon she won't spend one more day with pigs, he responded, "What's wrong with taking care of a few cute animals?" Julia stuck to her ultimatum: either they move to another place, or she goes back to Russia.

For as lazy as Julia thinks Brandon is, that's how hard Brandon thinks he's trying, per TV Insider. "I'm trying really hard here to make her happy," he whined, "and it just feels like the effort is in vain."
