Alec Baldwin Lashes Out At People Criticizing His Family
Alec Baldwin is not here for trolls attacking his family, and he's making it very clear on Instagram. On March 1, 2021, Hilaria Baldwin surprised fans when she posted a photo that introduced a sixth addition to their family cradled lovingly amongst her five other siblings. The former yoga instructor simply captioned the photo with the number "7" and a red heart emoji. On March 2, 2021, Hilaria posted a close-up of her newborn daughter, and confirmed that her name is Lucia. "Just like your brothers and sisters, you are a dream come true," she wrote alongside the photo.
Naturally, people are perplexed about the timeline of welcoming Lucia. The newest addition makes baby number six for the couple (Alec also has a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from a former relationship), yet their fifth addition, Edu, was born only a few months prior in September 2020. Fans are speculating that the Baldwins adopted Lucia or that she was born via surrogate, though, as of this writing, neither of the proud parents have confirmed anything.
Alec isn't remaining completely silent, however. The actor reposted Hilaria's photo with the six children and captioned it "Mi vida," but unlike his wife, he didn't opt to turn comments off on the photo. Alec Baldwin has no tolerance for haters
When Alec Baldwin posted a photo of his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, along with their six children — including newborn daughter Lucia — he was met with many positive comments. Unfortunately for him, however, his post also garnered some negative attention. Per Us Weekly, one commenter wrote that their "first response" to the picture was "yikes," to which Alec responded, "I believe that people should simply say 'Congratulations' or just shut the f**k up. That's it." Well, that's certainly one way to put the haters in their place!
Another user seemed to stick up for the Baldwins, however, and questioned why people are "so mean," and even referenced Hilaria Baldwin's infamous Spanish heritage scandal. Alec responded (via E! News) to the comment, saying that these mean people are "not very smart" and that "Americans are people who know less about how to live a peaceful, healthy life than most of the civilized world."
On March 2, 2021, he followed up his initial post with another photo of baby Lucia, along with the caption "Blessed." Clearly, Alec isn't letting the haters keep him from enjoying the latest addition to his family!
