Patrick Mahomes' Fiancee Shows Off How She Is 2 Weeks After Giving Birth

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews have shared the adorable details of their fairytale love story. They started as high school sweethearts who maintained a long-distance relationship once the two went off to college, via Us Weekly. After winning the 2020 Super Bowl, Mahomes decided to pop the big question on the day he received his Super Bowl ring.

"He put so much thought into this special day & Im just still in awe of how perfect it was. Love you forever," Matthews shared in an Instagram post sharing their engagement. A few weeks later she shared a photo of the couple holding a sonogram and announcing that they were expecting their first child together. "Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding," she captioned the post.

Mahomes gushed about how excited he was to welcome their baby girl after losing the Super Bowl, where Matthews sported a baby bump, in 2021. "Hopefully [Brittany] gets all the way to her due date, but I mean really, anytime, I could be having a baby girl and I'm super excited about that," Mahomes told 610 Sports Radio Kansas City. "It's gonna be something special, and I'm excited for the journey of trying to find ways to better myself and become the best dad that I can be."

Two weeks after finally welcoming their first child, Matthews shared an update about how she's doing.

Brittany Matthews talks her 'amazing journey' to motherhood

Brittany Matthews gave her fans a little post-pregnancy update two weeks after giving birth to their daughter Sterling Skye. "The most amazing journey, to bring the biggest blessing into our life. Baby girl, we love you," she captioned a video that showed her working out over the course of her pregnancy. At the end of the heartwarming video, Matthews held baby Sterling in her arms while doing the same squat routine she did while holding her in her stomach for nine months. It was the first full look her followers got to see of her newborn since she announced her birth the month before.

The new mom has shared little teases of her daughter on her Instagram Story. But she explained why she and Patrick Mahomes were choosing to wait before showing their daughter off on social media. "We will share photos of her when we [feel] the time is right," she explained in an Instagram Story post, as captured by People. "I know the internet will instantly take the photos of her and share everywhere so just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared to the world! Right now we are just soaking in every minute with her."

Her baby update came a few days after she announced her and Mahomes' plans to get married in 2022. At least they've already got their flower girl!
