Meghan Markle's Alleged Email About The Kate Middleton Crying Incident Revealed

More and more details are pouring out that back the allegations made by the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle in her two-hour bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, only adding to all the drama.

Of the many revelations to come from the CBS tell-all, Meghan claimed that the palace didn't protect her from false claims and racist remarks made by the British tabloids. The former actor had a known riff with the British press, particularly after her estranged father was often speaking to the papers. She believed that the palace was refusing to back her against false stories (which she alleged they did for other members of the family), and for that and other reasons she detailed in the interview, she and Prince Harry decided it was their time to leave.

One of the examples Meghan gave to Oprah that illustrated how the palace didn't protect her involved a report that she had made Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton cry following an argument in the days leading up to Meghan and Harry's 2018 wedding. The Suits actor revealed "the reverse happened," and it was Kate who made Meghan cry over a disagreement regarding flower girl dresses. The actor was adamant in expressing that she and Kate had patched things over after the incident.

Now, an email (allegedly) sent by the Duchess of Sussex is providing more proof behind the incident.

Meghan Markle's alleged email is eye-opening

In an op-ed in Harper's Bazaar, royal editor-at-large Omid Scobie details what it's really like living under the control of the palace. He also discusses the claims Meghan Markle made in the two-hour tell-all interview.

In the report, Scobie revealed that a source claims the duchess sent an email in 2020 that states she did not make Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge cry, despite what British press had to say.

The email reportedly came after Kensington Palace requested the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry squash a rumor about his brother Prince William's "bullying" towards the Sussex couple. Meghan reportedly took the opportunity to email an aide, writing, "Well, if we're just throwing any statement out there now, then perhaps KP can finally set the record straight about me [not making Kate cry]."

Rumor has it the palace ignored Meghan's request with the claim that "the Duchess of Cambridge ... should never be dragged into idle gossip."

What does Kate Middleton have to say?

Of course, it's fair to wonder how Kate Middleton is feeling about all of this drama. Although we can't say for certain until she speaks out herself, there have been rumors about her reaction. "Kate is caught between a rock and a hard place, she wants to speak up and help the crown rebuild their image, but she is not one for confrontation nor escalation," a source claimed to Us Weekly. "She will eventually speak out about some of the bombshells dropped by Meghan, especially the crying incident."

Furthermore, Middleton is supposedly miffed about the whole thing. "She didn't like that she was called out by name when many of the other members of the royal family were not," the insider told Us. "Kate also did not like the implications that she and other members of the royal family were jealous of Meghan, that was never the case."

It's fair to say this scandal isn't over quite yet!
