Inside Shep Rose's New Claims About The Alex Rodriguez And Madison LeCroy Drama

Buckle up, because the drama surrounding Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez's relationship status looks like it's only getting started!

After reports surfaced on March 12, 2021 claiming that the power couple had split, A-Rod and J.Lo set the record straight by releasing a joint statement to E! News a day later. "All reports are inaccurate," the duo said. "We are working through some things."

OK, but what could those "things" be? Back in January 2021, A-Rod sparked infidelity rumors after Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy alluded to communicating with a "very famous" and "married ex-MLB player" over DM (via E! News). At the time, sources close to Rodriguez denied his involvement with Madison, per the New York Post. As of this writing, J.Lo and A-Rod are still sticking to their story, telling E! in their statement that "there was absolutely no third party involved."

Hmm. It seems like there's more to this story, especially because Madison's Southern Charm co-star, Shep Rose, just joined Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live to weigh in on those pesky Madison/A-Rod rumors. Want to know what Shep had to say? Keep reading to find out!

Shep Rose claims A-Rod approached Madison LeCroy first

As Southern Charm's Shep Rose exclusively revealed on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, the fact that Madison LeCroy was DMing Alex Rodriguez was never supposed to come to light. During the segment, Shep explained that Madison told her castmates about her liaison with the former MLB player on the way home from a party on Capers Island, S.C. "And she's like, 'Well, I'm DMing with A-Rod, but we can't talk about that. Or they can't air this because I signed an NDA' and that's the first I heard of it,” Shep told Andy. Too bad the dirty secret was aired when fellow castmate Craig Conover spilled the beans at the show's reunion! "Craig ... sort of let that cat out of the bag and it didn't take long for the internet or whatever to sleuth the answers," Shep said, "which it never does, does it."

Since news broke that A-Rod and J.Lo were on the rocks, Madison has remained silent — but the fact that she disabled her Instagram comments speaks volumes! For his part, Shep feels that she did not instigate any funny business, maintaining that A-Rod was the one "who approached" Madison (via Us Weekly). In the meantime, A-Rod and J.Lo are weathering the media storm by laying low in Coral Gables, Fla., and the Dominican Republic, respectively. Hopefully, they will clear up the drama soon, maybe with another joint statement.
