The Bachelor: Fans Think Michelle Young Resembles This Beloved Character

Matt James' season of The Bachelor came to an unexpected end. He gave Rachael Kirkconnell the final rose, but ultimately broke up with her because he said she has "a lot of work that needs to be done" in order to truly understand racism. (Rachael received intense backlash after a racially insensitive photo she was featured in surfaced on the internet.)

As with every season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette, the final three contestants always spark fan loyalty — and Matt's season was no different, especially for Bri Springs and Michelle Young. Bri opened up about her experience in a post on Instagram, where she shared that "life after the show has been full of surprises" but it's also been "mentally draining," so that kind of exposure can't be easy.

Michelle had a different post-show experience. She and Katie Thurston were announced as leads for the upcoming seasons of The Bachelorette. Katie's season will go first, followed by Michelle's. As such, it comes as no surprise that Michelle is a favorite among Bachelor Nation. In fact, people are realizing that Michelle totally has a resemblance to this beloved film character — and the connection is very sweet.

Fans are getting major 'Miss Honey vibes' from Michelle

Michelle Young is an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, per her ABC bio. Fans of Matt James' season are already familiar with Michelle's profession, since Matt met Michelle's students on her hometown date through an online meet-and-greet.

Michelle is all about her students, and in her bio, she says that in her job, she "focuses on preparing her students to be the next generation of community leaders."

With all of this in mind, Reddit is going wild with a surprising lookalike for Michelle. Remember the 1996 film, Matilda? The protagonist, Matilda, was rescued from her parents by the loving teacher, Miss Jennifer Honey. One Reddit user posted a photo of Michelle next to Miss Honey and wrote: "If they were ever to remake Matilda in the near future they should cast Michelle as Miss Honey." People were all about this. "Now this is a comparison I am here for," one person wrote. "The crossover I never knew I needed. They have the same energy," another person commented. "She was totally giving me Ms Honey vibes too!" shared another fan. Lord knows we love and need our teachers!
