Selena Gomez's most recent Instagram post has made quite the impact on fans and it comes as no surprise. The "Lose You To Love Me" chart-topper has been quite vocal about being close friends with fellow singer Taylor Swift and used the social media platform to remind her followers of some wholesome snaps they previously took while informing her BFF that she was thinking of her.
On March 22, 2021, Gomez took to Instagram and shared three images within one upload. In the first shot, the duo posed for a cute selfie, while Swift held onto her adorable cat, Benjamin Button, per People. In the next slide, Gomez was seen flashing a radiant smile while looking down at Swift's cat, who she was holding in her lap. In the third and final frame, the iconic trio took another selfie. For her caption, Gomez kept it short but sweet, writing, "kinda missin this one."
According to People, the pair does not usually share images of each other very often. In less than 24 hours, Gomez's upload racked up more than 8 million likes and 63,000 comments from excited fans.

According to People, these photos were first uploaded to Selena Gomez's Instagram story in 2019. "My ride or die. I would die for this one. Thank you for forever being by my side. You have taught me so much, walked through all of this with me, STAYED and you remind me to be a better, human being. I'm on your side for life," the Wizards of Waverly Place actor wrote at the time.
Despite not sharing many photos of each other very often, Gomez and Taylor Swift's friendship actually goes way back. As reported by ELLE, they first met more than a decade ago in 2008 when they were both dating a member of the Jonas Brothers. In a December 2019 interview with KISS FM UK, Gomez said it was "the best thing [they] got out of those relationships," explaining, "It was amazing, because she was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots. And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked." As many would say, Gomez and Swift are "friendship goals."
