The Truth About The Bachelorette's Brendan Scanzano

Season 17 of The Bachelorette will be different for several reasons, mainly because Chris Harrison will not serve as the host. While it still may be the most dramatic season ever, new hosts Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams will take on duties as co-hosts following Chris Harrison's dramatic exit from the show. In March 2021, ABC released a statement on Instagram, informing viewers at home that Harrison would not be taking part in the upcoming season of the show. It is unclear whether or not he will be returning to his other hosting duties on future seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, The Bachelor, or The Bachelorette. The announcement came shortly after Harrison was the center of racism controversy surrounding Rachel Kirkconnell and Matt James

The 17th season of the hit ABC show will follow Renton, Washington native Katie Thurston and her quest for love. Thurston became a quick fan-favorite on James' season thanks to her brutal honesty (case in point: when she talked about how her vibrator helped her get through isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic). Thurston is looking for a "man," not a "boy," and nothing turns her off more than someone who sits and plays video games all day. She's got a great list of potential suitors waiting to woo her, and one of those men is Brendan Scanzano. Keep scrolling to find out more about the handsome guy vying for Thurston's heart.

Brendan Scanzano is a part-time model

Brendan Scanzano already looks like a bonafide celebrity, and it's safe to say that viewers will welcome him as eye candy on Katie Thurston's season. According to Reality Steve, Scanzano is a 26-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, Canada (click here to see a few drool-worthy shots of the new reality star). He has ties to the franchise and is good buddies with Blake Moynes from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams' season. Scanzano is a part-time model (which his good looks would suggest), and he holds a day job in finance at Scotiabank.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Scanzano went to school at Mohawk College before coming to the United States in 2018 to attend Texas A&M University. Out of college, Scanzano worked as a team lead at Mosaic, dealing with big clients like Vitamin Water, Coke Zero, Smart Water, and Powerade. His profile would suggest that he is very career-oriented. "I have established a strong mental ability to remain focused and goal oriented, my combined education and life experience allow me to prepare for an exciting and demanding career," he wrote on the site.

According to Reality Steve, Scanzano is private on Instagram... and we can all let out a collective sigh.
