Are Katie And Chris From Bachelor In Paradise Still Together?

During Season 6 of ABC's Bachelor in Paradise, Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton fell in love with one another. They navigated some tough moments during their time filming in Mexico, but they did get engaged in the 2019 finale. The BIP reunion show was a bit rocky for them too, and fans of Katie and Chris were left simply hoping they could make their relationship last for the long term.

As Distractify noted, Katie first appeared on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor. She joined the cast of Bachelor in Paradise a few months later, and it didn't take long for her to experience romantic sparks with Chris. He, of course, was no stranger to The Bachelor franchise. He first wooed Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette, and joined Season 3 of Bachelor Pad. Chris tried to join Andi Dorfman's run as The Bachelorette, and also popped up during Seasons 1, 2, and then 6 of Bachelor in Paradise.

During the reunion show for their season, Katie expressed her frustrations regarding Chris' communication style. Tensions ran high, but ultimately, they insisted they were staying engaged. Chris promised Katie that he'd do better in regard to expressing himself.

"Since then, it's been so great. We've been able to be together, and he's met my family and my friends, and seeing him with them, has been... it's just been so much better now that we can hang out," Katie told People at the time.

Katie and Chris tried, but ultimately failed

Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski did manage to stay engaged after that September 2019 Bachelor in Paradise reunion show, at least for a few months (via Entertainment Weekly).

"I feel in love with potential that may never come to fruition, but I'm just praying it does," Katie said at the time.

Unfortunately, Chris and Katie's romance didn't last all that long. Just short of three months later, in December 2019, the Bachelor in Paradise stars revealed they had called it quits. They both shared the news via Instagram posts that included photos from the engagement as well as lengthy, matching captions.

"We've reached a point in our story where we agree it's best to go our separate ways. We have chosen to love and respect each other as friends because that's the base of our relationship, and it's what is most natural for us," Chris wrote.

Katie and Chris had been one of three Bachelor in Paradise couples to get engaged during Season 6, and several other pairs were dating after the show finished airing. As People detailed, few of the couples lasted for long. The engagement between Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin stuck, as did the romance between Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert. All of the others, much like Chris and Katie's romance, ended pretty quickly.
