Vanderpump Rules: The Truth Behind Jax Taylor's Financial Troubles

Former Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor let the Bravo reality TV cameras capture his coming of age — even if it did happen in his 30s. Fans were first introduced to the resident bad boy while he was dating Stassi Schroeder. After a series of affairs, their on-again-off-again relationship was done once and for all. Jax eventually settled down with co-star Brittany Cartwright, tied the knot, and welcomed a son together, per Us Weekly

Yet viewers were stunned in October 2020 when Jax and Brittany took to Instagram to announce they were parting ways with the hit series. "The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors," Jax wrote. However, Lisa Vanderpump hinted that Jax and Brittany were forced out of the franchise, and it was not their choice to leave amidst allegations of racist behavior

Now, Jax has another scandal to worry about. Keep scrolling to find out about Jax's financial trouble!

Jax Taylor reportedly owes $1.2 million in unpaid taxes

We might have another "situation" on our hands! According to The SunJax Taylor owes approximately $1.2 million in both state and federal taxes after she purchased a $1.9 million Los Angeles home. The ex-Vanderpump Rules star reportedly "owes the IRS $868,035," and has unpaid taxes dating back to 2014. The addition of his new house adds almost $650,000 to his tax debt as well.

Jax allegedly earned $25,000 per episode of Vanderpump Rules, pocketing over $600,000 per season. According to a Reddit thread, Jax went on Facebook Live to clear up the accusations and blamed having "a bad bookkeeper." However, fans don't have much empathy for the reality star. "Karma is a b***h," one user commented. "They are both so dumb to think they can live off reality TV and IG endorsements forever."

Seems like Jax may have overstayed — and Overserved — his welcome with Bravo viewers!
