Modesty is a must for such an ultra-conservative family such as the Duggars, which is why it's such a shock when any of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's 19 kids go against the grain, so to speak. While the siblings who are still living at home have no say in how they dress, a couple of the married girls have taken a different approach to their clothing choices. Take Jill Duggar Dillard, for instance. Fans started noticing Jill wearing pants in 2018, which was quite an unusual sighting. She suddenly became the "rebel" of the family.
Jill has gotten a bit bolder since then, even wearing pants to a church service in December 2020. That would certainly be frowned upon for the rest of the Duggars, and so would some of the other outfits that Jill has been seen in. From showing more leg to baring her shoulders, the wayward Duggar daughter doesn't seem to be afraid to take chances. Here are a few of her most "scandalous" outfits so far.
Jill Duggar showed off more skin, but in a modest way
Don't expect this former Counting On star to wear short shorts. However, Jill Duggar Dillard did previously show off some leg by throwing on a pair of denim shorts for an anniversary hike with her husband, Derrick Dillard, in 2018. As if that wasn't enough, she also wore a tank top, as seen above! Some fans weren't too keen on her new style, but most were thrilled that she stepped into a brand new era.
Wearing shorts seemed to be just the beginning of Jill's journey into more fashionable pieces of clothing. Two years later, she decided to up her game. A bathing suit is not exactly a part of the Duggar rules of fashion, but Jill seemed to have found a way to be able to wear one and still be modest. In the summer of 2020, the mom-of-two modeled a few of her favorite swimwear options that she felt comfortable in. She was ready to have fun in the sun with her family without being totally covered up.
Jill Duggar shocked fans in leather leggings
Jill Duggar Dillard's wardrobe change included several pairs of skinny jeans and she looked fabulous in them. Some had holes in them and others were quite form-fitting. However, wearing skinny jeans is one thing, but according to In Touch Weekly, when Jill threw on a pair of black leather leggings to model for her cousin Amy Duggar's clothing shop that seemed to send shock waves on Instagram. That photo brought out Duggar fans who were so happy that Jill felt free enough to wear those types of pants.
Since then, Jill has modeled some of her cousin's clothing items, which have gotten more daring, at least for the Duggars' standards. The two women have gotten closer since Jill's estrangement from her famous family. Amy's influence and encouragement may have been a factor in Jill's change of heart on how she dresses these days. Jill has shown how much she loves to go shopping at the clothing store that Amy owns and models them quite frequently.

It seems that Jill Duggar Dillard has won her husband over with her newfound garments as well. She shared a handful of photos on Instagram showing off a few cute outfits to work out in, along with a giveaway for her fans. Derick took the time to comment on how "hot" she looked, according to People. It was a cute exchange between the husband and wife, but you have to wonder how Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar felt about that public comment about their daughter.
Another recent outfit that may have had her parents fuming was a fun boho-style dress that Jill modeled in her bedroom. The length of the dress came down to her ankles, however, it was the slits that gave the outfit a little twist. Jill took the opportunity to quickly reveal her thighs for all to see, but she did have something underneath to not show off too much.
