Spencer Pratt Responds To Estranged Sister Stephanie's Claim Heidi Is Pregnant
Reality star couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are no strangers to controversy. The pair met in 2007 while Heidi was filming "The Hills," and the Colorado native knew immediately that Spencer was "the one," according to Insider. Even so, it was not smooth sailing. Heidi's on-screen frenemy, Lauren Conrad, was not a fan of her relationship with Spencer, which played out as a storyline on "The Hills," and later caused the one-time BFFs to end their friendship for good (via Insider).
But following her heart paid off for Heidi in the end. She and Spencer tied the knot in April 2009 and welcomed a baby boy named Gunner on October 1, 2017. "We are so blessed to have a beautiful healthy baby boy," Heidi told Us Weekly, calling his birth "the hardest and most rewarding experience." In July 2018, Heidi and Spencer opened up about their desire to expand their family and give Gunner a little sister or brother. "I'd love a girl or a boy," Heidi told E! News. "I love having a son. It's so much fun. So if we have another boy, we'll probably have three [kids]."
A year later, Heidi proved that babies were once again on her brain, tweeting in October 2019 that she and Spencer were "thinking about baby #2." Did Stephanie Pratt body shame Heidi Montag?
On April 23, 2021, Spencer Pratt's estranged sister Stephanie posted a since-deleted photo of Heidi Montag in a bikini on her Instagram Stories. Underneath the pic, she wrote, "Yay Heidi's pregnant! I hope she has a little girl this time. Cute bump." However, what seemed like a well-meaning congratulatory post to the casual viewer was actually an attack on her sister-in-law's body. Back in February 2021, Heidi fielded comments about her body when her fuller figure had fans speculating whether or not she and Spencer were expecting their second child together. "No, I am not pregnant yet," Heidi tweeted to no one in particular. "Just a little overweight."
In response to Stephanie's Instagram Story, fans flooded Heidi's most recent Instagram post with questions. "Stephanie just posted ur pregnant but I don't see that u posted it," a follower wrote in the comments section. Spencer seemingly clapped back at his sister by writing back to the fan that, "Heidi is not pregnant. Just being body shamed." To date, Stephanie has not clarified what she meant by her savage IG Stories, but fans quickly took her to task.
"Are you really body shaming Heidi? Unfollow," one person wrote on her Instagram. Another commented that Stephanie should really "think about what messages your current fat shaming stories are communicating." It's likely this whole incident will only worsen the feud between the Pratt siblings. Ouch.
