Taylor Swift Reveals Big News About Her Boyfriend Joe Alwyn

Joe Alwyn is known for his acting credits in movies like "The Favorite" and "Mary Queen of Scots." He's also known among Taylor Swift fans as the lucky British man who stole her heart. When he's not acting, Alwyn has also produced and written music with his girlfriend — and his side hustle earned him a major award.

Alwyn's role in Swift's music wasn't always public knowledge, though. He was previously listed under a pen name, William Bowery, for his songwriting credits on "Betty" and "Exile," two of Swift's songs from the "Folklore" album.

In addition to co-writing two "Folklore" songs with Swift, Alwyn was also a co-producer on six "Folklore" tracks, per People, and his work hasn't gone unnoticed. The Grammy Awards website made a major update to its website and the list of 2020 winners, and Swifties were quick to spot Alwyn's surprising accolade. Keep reading to find out about Alwyn's award-winning side hustle working with Swift.

Joe Alwyn is a Grammy-winning music producer

Grammy Award winners and nominees have their own pages on the Grammys website — and the British actor is now among those ranks. A look at Alwyn's Grammys page shows his one win and nomination: Album of the Year, for Taylor Swift's "Folklore." Not bad!

Of course, Alwyn's Grammy win pales in comparison to Swift's success in the music industry. She holds a whopping 41 Grammy nominations and 11 wins, including five more nominations from the 2020 awards, in addition to Album of the Year.

At the Grammy Awards ceremony in March 2021, Swift thanked Alwyn by name, as People noted. "Joe is the first person that I play every single song that I write, and I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine," Swift said at the awards show, per the magazine. As much as we love Taylor's breakup songs, seeing how happy she is working with Alwyn will warm any fan's heart.
