Inside Jack Quaid's Relationship With His Famous Parents

Jack Quaid is one of the hottest young actors in Hollywood, and it helps that he was born into a famous family of actors. As many know, Jack is the son of actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan. Even though their marriage didn't quite work out, they were blessed with a son who looks eerily similar to both of them. According to his IMDb profile, Jack has starred in several popular movies, including "The Hunger Games," "Logan Lucky," and "Rampage." The actor also appears in the popular television series "The Boys," which is an Amazon original. It really seems like there isn't much Jack can't do.

In an interview, Jack shared that it's nice to come from a family of actors because they're already in the industry, and they know what it's like. This means that he didn't get a lot of flack when he wanted to follow in the same path. "They understood what it meant to be an actor. It wasn't like I came to them and said, 'I want to be an actor,'" he told the Associated Press (via Republic World). "And they're like, 'What? That doesn't make any sense. Go get a business degree or something like that.' It didn't happen and I'm really thankful for that." Jack also said that it was nice to grow up comfortably with food on the table while noting that his parents had pretty cool jobs. Jack Quaid avoided a Meg Ryan movie for years

Jack Quaid seems to be pretty close with both of his parents and he definitely shares a special bond with his mother, Meg Ryan. Unfortunately for us, Jack does not share many photos of his mother on his Instagram page, but he regularly talks about her in interviews. The young actor revealed that he decided to see one of his mother's films that he avoided for years because of the iconic orgasm scene. Yes, the movie is "When Harry Met Sally," and it would obviously be a little bit uncomfortable watching your mom make those noises on screen. However, Jack said that he decided to watch the film as he prepped for a comedy role, and it actually made him beam with pride.

"When your mom has one of the most famous orgasm scenes of all time, you tend to avoid that movie as a child. You know that very specific problem that we all have," he told The Today Show. "So I watched it for research for the movie, and as soon as I saw it, I was tearing up. Because I'm so proud of her. And I called her up and told her. ... She is amazing in it." How sweet is that?

In turn, Ryan regularly beams with pride over her son on Instagram and shares plenty of photos of him and his projects. "JUST KILLING IT... SO PROUD!!" she wrote alongside a photo of Jack's movie poster for "Plus One" in 2019. How sweet!

Dennis Quaid can't stop glowing over his son

While there's no doubt that Jack Quaid and Meg Ryan share a super sweet bond, he also happens to share a similar one with his father, Dennis Quaid. As with his mother, Jack tends to keep photos of his famous father off his Instagram page, and it does not appear as though Dennis Quaid shares many shots of his son on his social media page, either. But that doesn't mean that the two don't mention one another in the press from time to time.

In October 2020, Dennis told Kelly Clarkson on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" that he offered to let Jack use his agent, but Jack declined and found his own as he wanted to pave his own path. That was something that made him proud, he revealed. "And then of course he gets an agent on his own and his first movie is "Hunger Games". Then he gets in [Martin] Scorsese's "Vinyl" on television, which was the hottest show there was. Now he's doing "The Boys," which is the hottest thing on streaming. It's a great show," he gushed. "So I'm saying like hey, how 'bout a little help over here, I don't care," Dennis joked. "Even more than an actor, he's really turned out to be a really fine man." We absolutely adore this father-son duo!
