However, let's not forget that the stars likely have control over what does and doesn't make it onto their reality TV shows. We've probably only seen a few glimpses of the not-so-perfect side of the family on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." One example of the Kardashians allowing their flaws to be seen occurred when the sisters were brave enough to let a family fight become public knowledge. Who could forget the infamous argument between Kim and Khloe Kardashian that ended with Kim attacking her sister with her purse?
There was also the shocking fight involving Kim and Kourtney Kardashian that turned physical. Things got heating during the Season 18 episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" after Kim took a dig at Kourtney's work ethic. "If I were on my deathbed, I would still show up," Kim said while speaking to Kourtney and Kendall (via CNN). "Mom is so used to ... me and Khloe, whenever, if we're sick ... [Kourtney] you don't care about stuff." That apparently didn't go over well with Kourtney, and the sisters soon came to blows.

Did Kim Kardashian cheat on Reggie Bush?
Kim Kardashian and ex-NFL player Reggie Bush were the it-couple of the Kardashian family long before Kanye West came into the picture. The pair reportedly met at the ESPY Awards in 2007 and later parted ways in 2010. It seems that the relationship wasn't all rainbows and butterflies for Bush because he spoke to ESPN about how overwhelming the media attention was. "When I started dating my ex, that's when all this stuff [media attention] came," the athlete told the outlet. "But it's part of the territory and everything happens for a reason." He added, "But you know what, I wouldn't change anything because it helped mold and shape who I am today and I'm a better man for it." At least Bush was able to cope with the media frenzy that came along with the high-profile relationship.
This romance probably also wasn't easy for Bush because, according to Amber Rose, Kardashian cheated on him. "Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together," Rose told Star magazine (via Radar Online). The model went on to claim that West was seeing Kardashian while she was with Bush. She also alleged that West cheated on her with Kardashian. "She was sending pictures, and I was like, 'Kim, just stop,'" Rose told the outlet. "Don't be that person." If these allegations are true, it looks like Kardashian did some damage to Bush.
Justin Bieber was 'being used' by Kourtney Kardashian
Tabloids speculated whether or not there was something going on between Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian in 2015. Outlets claimed that things were heating up for the alleged couple after they were spotted out and about on multiple occasions. They were both seen together for the first time during a night out at the Nice Guy in Hollywood. Bieber and Kardashian were linked again after they attended Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights together.
A source spoke to Us Weekly about the alleged couple's steamy relationship following Kardashian's split from Scott Disick. "Justin started hanging out with Kourtney alone because she started going out more," they told the magazine. "Remember, she never really went out before, so he's been showing her a good time." The source also claimed that Bieber had a close bond with his rumored new girlfriend's little ones. "He actually goes over a lot to see her kids, and they love him," they alleged.
It turns out that Bieber may not have enjoyed his alleged fling with Kardashian as much as the reports suggest. The pop star actually jokingly revealed that he was being used by the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star. "I'm being used, man," he said during an appearance on "The Bert Show" while reacting to tabloid gossip. "What can I say?" It looks like Bieber wasn't interested in sharing more about the suspected relationship because he went on to add, "Nah, we'll leave it at that."
Did Kylie Jenner bully Selena Gomez?
The Kardashians found themselves on the receiving end of quite a bit of hate after they were involved in Hailey Bieber's rumored feud with Selena Gomez. This controversy started after Bieber posted a TikTok that also featured Kendall Jenner and singer Justine Skye. In the video, the trio lip-synced to an audio with the words "And I'm not saying she deserved it, but I'm saying God's timing is always right."
One TikTok user reacted to the clip in a video in which she suggested Bieber's use of the audio was in reference to Gomez being body shamed at the time. Gomez actually took to the comments to share her thoughts. "It's OK!," she wrote. "I don't let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! X."
Kylie Jenner got involved in the drama after she posted a clip of her eyebrows to her Instagram Stories. This caused controversy because Gomez had recently shared a TikTok in which she vented about eyebrow lamination that didn't turn out as planned. A TikTok user posted a video where she suggested that Kylie posted the clip to make fun of Gomez. Luckily, both ladies squashed these rumors. "No shade towards selena ever and I didn't see her eyebrows post," Jenner penned in the comments. "Agreed," Gomez replied. "It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie!" Even though the celebs made it clear they had no bad blood, Kylie lost 1 million Instagram followers in the following days.
Kendall Jenner has history with Hailey Bieber's husband
While many have accused Hailey Bieber of being a bully, she may have been the victim of the Kardashian family's mistreatment herself. It turns out that there's a chance Justin was once more interested in Hailey's close friend, Kendall Jenner.
Justin and Jenner seemed suspiciously close in 2014. They even posed for a steamy poolside photoshoot for Vogue together. By now, you're probably wondering what really happened between Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber. Luckily for Hailey, the duo denied that there was anything serious going on – at least as far as they're willing to share with the public. Jenner was asked if she was dating the singer during an interview for "Nightline" (via E! News) in 2014. "He's a longtime friend of our family," the model said. "Everybody loves to assume things, but no." Justin also addressed the alleged relationship in an interview with Billboard. He shared that he and Jenner weren't serious.
Fans speculated that Hailey is a bit bothered by Justin and Kendall's history after they reacted to an Instagram live between the three celebs. In the clip, Justin asks Kendall if she could've predicted he and Hailey would eventually get married. "Erm, honestly... No," the model replied. "I didn't know but I think I hoped. Obviously Hales is my lady and my best friend and I, like, wanted it so bad for both of you." Hailey's smile quickly faded after hearing Kendall's response.

Tyga was engaged to Blac Chyna, with whom he shares son King Cairo, before he took off with a then-underage Kylie Jenner. Blac Chyna was best friends with both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's ex, Amber Rose. In a move suitable for the Petty Olympics, Blac Chyna eventually began dating Rob Kardashian. Phew, got all that?
When Blac Chyna got pregnant with Rob's daughter, Dream, the Kardashians reportedly leaked the pregnancy news before Blac Chyna could even tell her own family. Chyna's rep told People, "She would have preferred to have announced [the pregnancy] on Mother's Day herself, but her hand was forced ... allegedly the other half of her family leaked her story so she had to announce it. The only people that knew from Chyna's side was [sic] myself and Amber [Rose]. Her mother didn't even know. [Chyna's] moment was taken from her, which is really sad."
In addition to the overall family feud, during the course of Rob and Blac Chyna's rollercoaster relationship, he's trashed her more than few times during their "off" periods, with the former stripper even implying that he hacked her Instagram account. The feud between Blac Chyna and the Kardashians resurfaced after Chyna took the family to court in 2022. Documents revealed that the model alleged they played a role in the cancellation of her reality TV show "Rob & Chyna," per Us Weekly. Chyna ultimately lost the defamation case, according to The Cut.
Kim Kardashian didn't appreciate what Katie Couric had to say
Katie Couric said in an interview with In Touch Weekly (via Radar Online) in August 2013 that she can't comprehend the Kardashians' success. "I don't understand — why are they so famous?" Couric remarked, adding, "I think it's mostly teenage girls that are interested." Not long after the interview hit the presses, Kim posted a photo on Instagram of a baby pajama set Couric had sent her for North's birth that June, writing, "#IHateFakeMediaFriends#MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkS**t."
Couric then released a statement to People, saying, "I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."
It seems that Kardashian may have accepted Couric's apology because she posed for a photo with her during a Fourth of July in the Hamptons in July 2014. Kris Jenner shared the pic to Instagram, perhaps in an attempt to let the public know that the pair quashed their beef.
Kanye West alleged the Kardashians kept him from seeing his daughter
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finalized their divorce in November 2022 after months of turmoil. Much of this conflict played out on social media for all of us to observe. Some might say that West wasn't completely innocent as he made several controversial remarks about the Kardashian family and Kim's ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson. However, West also made claims that suggested Kim tried to wrong him following their split.
In a series of now-deleted Instagram posts (via the U.S. Sun), the rapper alleged that Kardashian did not allow him to see his kids. "So why did everyone feel so free to attack me about my tshirt but Candace Owens was the only public figure to say that it was wrong for the Kardashians to keep me from seeing my daughter," West penned in a post. He was seemingly referencing the controversy he faced after being photographed in a "White Lives Matter" shirt alongside political commentator Candace Owens. "And for all audience so outraged about my tshirt where was you when I couldn't see my kids I went public in hope of public support at that time," he continued.
Kim denied West's claims. "Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school," she wrote in the comments of one of West's now-deleted posts (via Page Six). The reality TV star later shared she wouldn't ever publicly bash West, so hopefully this feud remains a thing of the past.
Khloe Kardashian blamed Jordyn Woods for her split from Tristan Thompson
After it was revealed that Tristan Thompson cheated on Khloe Kardashian with Jordyn Woods, the family made it clear they wanted nothing to do with the model. Woods shared her side of the story during an appearance on "The Red Table Talk." She claimed that she wasn't the reason for Thompson and Kardashian's split. "The last thing I wanted to do was be that person. I'm no homewrecker," she said on the show. "I know I'm not the reason that Tristan and Khloe are not together. Now, this situation may have made it harder for her to want to be with him, and I understand that, but I know I'm not the reason."
Kourtney Kardashian took to Twitter to make it clear that she wasn't happy with Woods' claim. "Why are you lying @jordynwoods ??," the star penned. "If you're going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!" The star's response sparked a bit of backlash. Twitter users shared they felt she should have also placed some of the blame on Thompson. "I think you need to be honest with yourself @khloekardashian," one Tweet read. "The reason your family broke up is because your man couldn't keep his hands to himself.... stop blaming the woman, and blame your partner he was the one in a committed relationship!"
The Game shared Kim Kardashian might not be loyal
During an interview on House of ACES presents The Debut Live (via Us Weekly), rapper The Game revealed that he and Kim Kardashian were once an item. He shared they met at a party hosted by Ray J and began dating soon after. The Game explained that he was left heartbroken after he witnessed another man heading toward Kardashian's apartment. "I'm on the elevator going down, like down to my car to get my s***t out the garage," he explained in the same interview. "Reggie Bush is coming on the elevator. So he got off, I swallowed a lump in my throat, like 'OK, he's going to f***k my b***h. Alright.'"
The Game assumed that Kardashian had been seeing Bush, who is a former NFL player. "I didn't peak out the door to see where he was going, so he could've been going anywhere," the rapper continued. "But then they ended up together, so yeah, I was a little hurt after that." Kardashian reportedly did date Bush on and off from 2007 to 2010, so it looks like The Game's assumption may have been accurate. There's a chance that the star was still upset about his ex's alleged disloyalty because he wrote derogatory lyrics about her in a song he released in 2019. As you might imagine, this reportedly didn't go over well with Kardashian's then-husband, Kanye West. The Game revealed that he and West didn't speak for months because of the feud.
Kim Kardashian got involved in Taylor Swift's feud with Kanye West
Who could forget the feud involving Taylor Swift, Kanye West, And Kim Kardashian? After West infamously interrupted Swift's Best Female Video win at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, things eventually calmed down. The stars made amends and even posed for photos together at the 2015 Grammy Awards. West tarnished his relationship with Swift once again when he released the lyrics to his song, Famous. The controversial line that mentions the "Anti-Hero" singer reads, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b***h famous." Reports alleged West got Swift's permission to release the song, however, the singer claimed this wasn't the case.
According to People, Swift's team shared a statement that read, "Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single 'Famous' on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that b***h famous.'"
Kim Kardashian inserted herself in the feud when she claimed that West actually did get Swift's permission to release "Famous" during an interview with GQ. The reality TV star also took to Snapchat to share a video of a conversation between West and Swift where they discussed the song. You might recall that this resulted in quite a bit of backlash for Swift as many believed she lied about not approving the 'I made that b***h famous' line.
Larsa Pippen 'took a beating' during her and Kim Kardashian's fallout
Larsa Pippen was once on good terms with the Kardashian family. In fact, she was even close friends with Kim Kardashian and they were often spotted on the family's reality TV shows. Fans assumed Pippen and Kim's friendship ended after the Kardashian family unfollowed the "Real Housewives of Miami" star on social media in 2020.
Pippen opened up about her and Kim's fallout during a juicy episode of "Real Housewives of Miami" (via BuzzFeed). The reality TV star claimed she was actually left in the dark as to why the Kardashian family distanced themselves from her. "I don't even know what happened," Pippen said on the show. She went on to provide insight into the friendship dynamic that might explain why things ended. "I was best friends with Kim and I love her, and I love Kanye, and I was just the person who was stuck in the middle," the star explained. "I took a beating because I was the friend that was basically there and saw everything, and that basically was the demise of our relationship."
Kim hasn't shared much about why she is no longer friends with Pippen. Perhaps the fallout will eventually be addressed on an episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians." Thankfully, it looks like these ladies are now cordial because Pippen told Access Hollywood, "We're cool, we're friends. There's no beef, there's no bad situation."
Lamar Odom has a tumultuous history with the Kardashians
The Kardashian family adored Lamar Odom when he and Khloe were together and happy after their whirlwind courtship in 2006. After they split in December 2013, however, things got ugly. While Odom was certainly no saint (he confessed to using drugs and cheating on Khloe during their marriage in a bizarre video), some insiders say the family deliberately exploited the troubled former NBA star for their own fame and reality TV ratings.
In August 2015, reports surfaced of Odom allegedly "ambushing" Khloe at a Los Angeles SoulCycle studio. However, an insider told Radar Online that Odom had been set up. "Khloe had mentioned to Lamar that she would be going to the gym the next morning, and he showed up because he wanted to talk to her ... He has also learned that this is going to be part of Khloe's drama on the next season of KUWTK."
Two months later, Odom overdosed at a brothel and almost died. While Khloe nursed him back to health while he recovered ... "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" cameras also documented the entire ordeal, which once again negates quite a bit of the martyrdom it took the family to help him. A source told the New York Post, "It's a s**t show. The Kardashians are trying to run everything. They walked into the hospital with cameras rolling. It was shocking, but hardly a surprise."
Rita Ora received a cruel nickname
Rob Kardashian trashed ex Rita Ora so badly that a cruel nickname ("Rita Whora") became a trending topic on Twitter. In a since-deleted tweet (via E! News), Rob, who was rumored to be dating Ora at the time, said of an unnamed girlfriend, "How can a woman who is so busy starting her own career have time to be with so many dudes all while in a relationship?! She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together.
I wonder how many she will sleep with now that we apart? But I mean 20?!!!" He added, "When a woman cheats on you with one man I can live with that. People make mistakes, trust me. I have forgiven numerous times ... But when a woman disrespects herself by messing with more than 20 men all while being in a relationship with a Faithful man..." For her part, Ora never bashed Rob, but did say she never actually thought they were in a relationship. Rob slammed her Rob & Chyna in September 2016, so it sounds like he never really got over it.
Kris Humphries became the butt Kardashian jokes
Kris Humphries and Kim were married for just 72 days before she filed for divorce in 2011. When Humphries attempted to get an annulment on the base of fraud instead of a divorce, his aunt sided with him, telling The Sun that the Kardashians "duped" the NBA star and alleged that "wicked" matriarch Kris Jenner was "the mastermind" behind the operation. TMZ reported that Humphries also claimed himself that he knew Kim was cheating on him with Kanye West during their marriage because Jenner described him as a "close family friend," but didn't invite him to the wedding.
Unfortunately for Humphries, he couldn't get an annulment despite his claims that the marriage was just a ploy for ratings, and he walked away from the divorce with nothing. The family was accused of using creative TV editing and re-shoots to seem more shocked and heartbroken by the breakup. A source told Radar Online, "[Kim will be portrayed] as the victim, and [Humphries] will definitely be the bad guy. Kim was stunned by the amount of bad press and the public relations nightmare she has endured since deciding to file for divorce. Kim will be using the show to attempt to rehab her image."
Since the split, Khloe has publicly called him a "f*****g loser," Kourtney said on TV that he wasn't famous enough for the family to use him publicity, and West slammed him on "Theraflu."
Caitlyn Jenner was 'disappointed' in her brood
Caitlyn Jenner has her own issues with her brood, especially with ex-wife Kris Jenner, who claimed that Caitlyn's memoir, "The Secrets Of My Life," is full of lies about their marriage. Still, the family hasn't exactly been kind to the former Olympian.
Caitlyn wasn't invited to daughter Kylie Jenner's graduation party. On "I Am Cait" (via Us Weekly), Caitlyn weeped to Kris, "I was so disappointed in everybody. For 15 years of my life, I carpooled the kids every day. Some days, I would spend three or four hours in the car. [It's] a slap in the face when you don't even get invited to their graduation."
Caitlyn also alleged in her July 2015 Vanity Fair cover story that Kris used her during their marriage. "The first 15 years I felt she needed me more because I was the breadwinner ... Then really around the show, when that hit and she was running this whole show and getting credit for it and she had her own money, she didn't need me as much from that standpoint. The relationship was different," Caitlyn said. "I think in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me. ... A lot of times she wasn't very nice. People would see how I got mistreated. She controlled the money ... all that kind of stuff." In May 2017, Caitlyn revealed that neither Kim nor Khloe Kardashian speak to her ... except for maybe on TV.
Amber Rose has a long-running feud with the Kardashians
Wrecking Amber Rose's proverbial home with Kanye West was only the beginning of the Kardashians' poor treatment of the bald-headed beauty. In February 2015, Rose made an offhand remark about Kylie Jenner's young age, to which Khloe responded on Twitter by referencing Rose's past as a stripper at 15 years old. Rose clapped back referencing Kim's sex tape, writing, "@khloekardashian I'll be that lil w***e to support my family like ur older sister is a w***e 2 support hers. We're even." Then, West chimed in on The Breakfast Club, saying, "It's very hard for a woman to want to be with someone that's with Amber Rose ... I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim" (via Page Six). Eventually, Rose buried the hatchet with Kim at least, and even said she's "a fan of Khloe" — but don't expect her to show up at the next Kardashian clan wedding or anything close to it.
The Kardashians won't let Scott Disick move on
Scott Disick and Kourtney's relationship has been a rollercoaster of melodrama, rife with his alleged cheating and alcohol abuse ... and very little fault ever depicted on the behalf of the eldest Kardashian sister. After years of on-again-off-again romance, it appears that Kourtney and Disick are finally over for good — but whenever Disick attempts to move on, it becomes a problem for the rest of the brood. For example, Khloe, Kim, and Kris Jenner laid into him for bringing a girl with him on vacation, even though he and Kourtney were no longer together. Kim blew up at the unidentified woman, calling her a "groupie" and a "tramp" (among other choice words), perhaps ignoring the hypocrisy that she was once allegedly Kanye West's side piece.
What makes the behavior particularly worse is that Disick is said to be relapsing in his alcoholism, and that some of his struggles were allegedly triggered by Kourtney's relationship with model Younes Bendjima, who she's been dating since October 2016. Sources told TMZ that Kourtney promised Disick they could reunite if he got sober and "showed respect," then began dating Bendjima behind his back ... and that Disick was only hooking up with other girls to retaliate against Kourtney seeing other men. Disick reportedly also believes that the Kardashians go out of their way to make him appear as a villain on the show.
Chloe Grace Moretz came under heavy Kardashian Twitter fire
In March 2016 after Kim Kardashian posted one of her many nude selfies through the years, actress Chloe Grace Moretz tweeted, "@KimKardashian I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies."
Kim didn't take the comment lightly, tweeting, "let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. your nylon cover is cute boo." Moretz then tweeted, "Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole and look around to realize what's ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world ... Stop wasting your voice on something so petulant and unimportant."
Khloe Kardashian then jumped into the mix to defend Kim, posting a misidentified photo of a woman in bent over in a bikini that she apparently believed was Moretz, writing (via The Mirror), Is this the a hole you're referring to @ChloeGMoretz???" Moretz snapped back, "@khloekardashian fact check: first photo is me filming my movie Neighbors 2, the second photo is some girl who was wrongfully photographed."
