Jenna Dewan-Tatum Reveals She Once Dated Justin Timberlake

Who knew these two celebs ever dated?

Jenna Dewan-Tatum stopped by Watch What Happens Live on May 14, 2017 and opened up about her dating history. It all started when a viewer called in and asked the actress if she'd seen the Britney Spears Lifetime movie, Britney Ever After (2017), and, more importantly, if that infamous dance-off scene had ever actually happened in real life.

Unfortunately for major fans of the "biopic," Dewan-Tatum, who was portrayed in the wonderfully horrendous movie as Justin Timberlake's backup dancer and romantic interest, explained that a dance-off between Spears and Timberlake never took place.

"OK, so this dance-off situation—it never happened, people! No! It was in tabloids and everyone thought this happened," the 36-year-old said, adding, "I really wish I could say that happened, because that would be the coolest story in the world! It would be so awesome!"

Dewan-Tatum also noted that she didn't even begin working as a backup dancer with Timberlake until after his split with Spears—or "like during/after the breakup," to be exact. "I was an actress. I didn't know what was going on. It was the craziest, wildest thing," she continued. "But there was no dance-off! People ask me this all the time. It's like, 'No!' I don't know what they're talking about. That was made up by Us Weekly."

While the dance-off scene may have been fabricated, there really was a little something going on between Dewan-Tatum and the former NSYNC boy-bander. Host Andy Cohen asked Dewan-Tatum, "Did you ever have, like, a moment with Justin?"

"Oh, God. Andy! You just go there! You know that I love you. Um, yeah. We dated. Yeah," Dewan-Tatum admitted. "Yeah, we dated. Not that long. We were like friends—friends!—that dated."

After Cohen asked if she was Timberlake's "rebound chick" after his breakup with Spears, Dewan-Tatum exclaimed, "I was not the rebound! I was very clear not to be [that]."

While Dewan-Tatum may have moved on with husband Channing Tatum, who she met on the set of Step Up (2006), she can still appreciate Timberlake's good looks. "He's sexy," she told fellow guest and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015-) star Tituss Burgess. "What if I was like, 'No, he's not sexy at all?' Of course he's sexy."

"We're still very good friends," she continued. "It's not as salacious as everyone thinks."

Can Timberlake please go on Watch What Happens Live? We need his side of the story!
