The Truth About Darcey And Stacey Silva's Music Career

"90 Day Fiance" stars Darcey and Stacey Silva are twins with many talents — including music.

The larger-than-life sisters first became break-out TLC personalities on "90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days" and series spin-off, "Pillow Talk." The Silva twins are known for their over-the-top appearances and personas after viewers were first introduced to Darcey, who took fans on an emotional rollercoaster of love on "Before the 90 Days."

Fans got an even closer look at the twins' love lives and antics on their own spin-off series, "Darcey & Stacey." For better or for worse, both ladies have a penchant for international dating and fans have a front row seat to the drama. Ever since their television debut, Darcey and Stacey have shocked viewers with explosive fights with their boyfriends and plastic surgery transformations.

Aside from being television personalities, the Connecticut residents' main business is their luxury fashion boutique, House of Eleven. It comes as no surprise the bougie twins are involved in the fashion industry, however the Silva sisters also made a venture into music many may not know about.

Darcey and Stacey Silva released a single called Lock Your Number

Darcey and Stacey Silva teamed up to create the musical duo The Silva Twins. The sisters actually dabbled in music prior to their debut around 2013, when they recorded background vocals for a song on rap comedy film "White T," which their production company Eleventh Entertainment produced, per Distractify

Following their introduction to the music world, the stars released their official debut single as a duo "Lock Your Number" at Miami Swim Week in 2018. Darcey told InTouch Weekly the upbeat track is "a fun party and dance song which has a very catchy and appealing memorable hook that everyone can relate to." Darcey explained to the outlet that the sisters "tested the waters" with their song in Miami and after some positive reviews, they decided to take the song "worldwide."

Darcey said The Silva Twins' goal as artists was to bring "the ultimate feeling of confidence to one's inner being and happiness to others." According to the reality star, "Lock Your Number" creates feelings of empowerment to enjoy life at any phase or age.

The Silva sisters continue to make music

Darcey and Stacey Silva's musical career didn't end at "Lock Your Number." The sisters released a tribute song to their late brother Michael Silva in 2019, but "Always in My Heart" was unfortunately panned by listeners on YouTube. The Silva Twins' attempt at a ballad song was not received well by fans, with one listener commenting: "This might be the worst song ever recorded in the history of music."

The Silva Twins were met with similar criticism when they released their latest track in 2021. Darcey and Stacey made an appearance on the after-show series "90 Day Fiance: Bares All" and performed their newest party song, "Doing It Big," a pop-rap track that is an ode to the Silva sisters' opulent lifestyle. Their "Bares All" performance was slammed by viewers, who claimed the sisters were off-key, offbeat, and out of sync with one another, Soap Dirt reported.

Darcey and Stacey may never get a Top 10 hit, but the sisters are clearly having fun dipping their toes into music. Although the Silva sisters are polarizing figures for many "90 Day Fiance" fans, their ability to not take themselves seriously is why Darcey and Stacey became beloved on the series. After going on different journeys in television, production, fashion and music, there's no telling what the Silva Twins may do next.
