Matthew Stafford Opens Up About His Cringe-Worthy Meeting With Prince Harry

The 2022 Super Bowl was a star-studded event, with celebrities streaming in to watch the historic game. Apparently, football is not just an American thing. Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie, the two royal cousins, were also at the game to watch the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals face off. The ginger-haired duo was spotted sitting in a Salesforce Suite. Per Harper's Bazaar, the company has partnered with BetterUp, the mental health program where Harry lends his expertise as Chief Impact Officer. People reported that Eugenie is seemingly the first royal family member to visit Harry, Meghan Markle, and the kids in their new Californian home. Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank, and their one-year-old son live in Windsor, England, but crossed the Atlantic for some cousin time. As a bonus, she scored tickets to the sporting event of the season.

Cedric The Entertainer took to Instagram where he shared a few behind-the-scenes pics in the Rams' locker room, per the Daily Mail. One of the snaps showed Prince Harry and Cedric shaking hands as they smiled at each other. Another star who also met the duke at the Super Bowl was Mickey Guyton. The singer, who sang the national anthem ahead of the game, also met Harry. She shared a snap with her Instagram followers and noted what Harry is really like in person. "He was just lovely. I even curtsied in my track suit," she said. Sadly, when Matthew Stafford met Harry, things didn't go as well.

Matthew Stafford could not hear Prince Harry properly

All hell broke loose when the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals at the 2022 Super Bowl. Things were crazy in the locker room, with celebs streaming in to congratulate the team. In an interview with "The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz," sportswriter Peter King noted, via the Daily Mail, "Prince Harry was in the locker room hanging out with the Rams. Cardi B was in the building last night at this party." He continued, "It's just when you win in sport, there are crazy things that happen to your team. The Rams are winning, they are in LA, people love them." Matthew Stafford, the Rams' quarterback, can attest to how hectic things were after their win.

Stafford appeared on his wife Kelly Hall's podcast, "The Morning After." Apparently the duke tried to chat with the quarterback, but unfortunately, Stafford could not hear him due to the high noise levels in the locker room. "He was talking to me for a quick second, but it was loud — tough to say what he said," Stafford told his wife. "It was loud in there, it was crazy." Stafford mentioned that Prince Harry and Cooper Kupp seemed to hit it off, and said that they looked like each other thanks to their red beards. He revealed they "yapped it up," seemingly able to hear each other over the noisy environment. Maybe, in the future, Stafford and Harry can find a quieter space to talk.
