How Many Grandchildren Does Camilla Parker Bowles Have?

While there's no doubt that Camilla Parker Bowles is excited about becoming queen consort, she certainly has had a lot of titles in her life. But if there's one title that she's most proud of in her life, it's that as a mother. Speaking to 9 News Australia (via The Crown Chronicles), Camilla's son Tom Parker Bowles spoke fondly about the Duchess of Cornwall, describing her as the "good cop" in their household. "When I was getting a telling off for a bad report or something like that, my mother would be in the window behind my dad making faces," he said. "She was always great fun, she still is great fun, she never worried ... you know my grandmother was the same: 'Oh school, darling don't worry, I was rubbish at school, who cares?'"

But if there's another role that Camilla holds dear to her heart, it's that as a grandmother. In fact, a lot of royal fans can't help but wonder just how many grandchildren Camilla has in her life, including the ones that are in the royal family. The answer is actually quite surprising, seeing how they are almost never in the limelight or even talked about, either.

Camilla Parker Bowles can certainly count her blessings these days

It's very common to see Camilla Parker Bowles with her husband, Prince Charles, and his grandchildren at royal engagements and public appearances — especially when the whole royal family is involved. That, of course, includes Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. There are also Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's two children — Archie, who the royals haven't reportedly seen since the Sussexes left for Canada and California during the first quarter of 2020, and Lilibet, who was born in June 2021, and has yet to meet the extended family.

However, Camilla has a total of 10 grandchildren altogether. According to Express, her son Tom Parker Bowles has two children: Lola, who was born in 2007, and Freddy, born in 2010. There are also Laura Parker Bowles' three children: Eliza, born in 2008, and fraternal twin boys Gus and Louis, born in 2009.

When it comes to her grandchildren, Camilla often shares with them her love for reading. Back in 2021, she told the BBC Radio 4's "Today" (via the Independent), "I have a granddaughter that's very into Philip Pullman and she's been through 'His Dark Materials' so I think I got her 'La Belle Sauvage' and the twin boys, one I got 'Dracula' and the other I put onto 'Lord of the Rings' ... so those are the children's books." But that's not all.

Camilla Parker Bowles also shares this nickname with another 'Lady'

Camilla Parker Bowles has not only given the gift of reading to her grandchildren, but she also loves reading to them, too. According to the Mirror, the Duchess of Cornwall said that she loves reading David Walliams' hit book "Gangsta Granny" to her grandkids. "This is a really wonderful book to share with your grandchildren — you can see their eyes widen as they begin to wonder if their own grandparents might have some interesting tales to tell," the duchess said.

Camilla also said that her grandchildren have a special nickname for her behind closed doors. She told the Daily Mail back in 2013, "My own grandchildren call me GaGa. I don't know if it's because they think I am ... but is still very sweet." Lady Gaga references aside, it sounds like Camilla is already a queen in her own family, especially when it comes to the kids, right? We'd certainly said that Camilla is someone who can count her blessings.
