The Bachelorette's Shawn Booth Breaks Silence On Kaitlyn Bristowe Split

Shawn Booth of The Bachelorette is breaking his silence.

On Monday evening, Nov. 12, 2018, the reality TV star took to Instagram to address his recent split from fiancée Kaitlyn Bristowe for the first time.

"I just want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my relationship with Kaitlyn over the years," Booth wrote to his 937,000 followers, captioning a photo of the former couple attending an event. "You've made me feel incredibly special, supported, and very loved. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you. It truly means a lot." He added, "And thank you to everyone who has sent their love & support during this painful time. I love you guys."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Booth, 31, and Bristowe, 33, officially called it quits on Nov. 2, 2018, following a three-year engagement. While the former celeb pairing famously got engaged during the season 11 finale of The Bachelorette in 2015, rumors that there was trouble in paradise first surfaced over the summer.

"After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways," the amicable exes stated to People magazine earlier this month. "This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we're very much committed to remaining friends and we will continue to support each other."

They continued, "Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time."

Readers may be aware that these two sadly aren't the only celeb pairing to call off an engagement in recent months. In late July 2018, former pro wrestling couple John Cena and Nikki Bella canceled their wedding for a second time after initially ending their engagement in April. Meanwhile, pop star Ariana Grande broke up with Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson in mid-October after a five-month whirlwind romance.

However, in related news, singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger and Schitt's Creek star Emily Hampshire announced their engagement just over the weekend. The happy couple first confirmed their romance in August 2018. While sharing a number of photos of her gorgeous engagement ring, Geiger wrote in part to her Instagram followers, "I love this woman so much she treats me like a lil princess and makes me laugh harder than anyone."
