Here's How Much Adam Lambert Is Really Worth

While Adam Lambert first found fame on American Idol — which is surely why he was willing to join the reboot — his star has continued to rise post-show. Not every Idol winner has been able to establish the kind of career that they were likely expecting. However, Lambert is among a group of reality TV stars who have become super successful, which is why you'll surely be in awe of how much money he has these days.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lambert has a fortune that's sitting at around $25 million. While that may seem like a lot (or not enough depending on your opinion of Lambert), there's no question about the fact that he's worked hard to earn that money. The year after he won Idol, Lambert set out on a world tour and "[t]o date he has sold more than 3 million albums and 5 million singles as a solo artist." On top of that, he's also teamed up with the surviving members of Queen to fill in for the late, great Freddie Mercury, touring the world with the iconic group.

After you take a minute to be impressed by Lambert's accomplishments, get ready to be blown away by some more staggering fortunes because it turns out that he isn't the richest performer whose career was sparked by American Idol – far from it, in fact.

How does Adam Lambert's fortune compare to other American Idols?

Considering the fact that he's worth $25 million, it's safe to say that Adam Lambert is obviously doing well for himself, but surely you're curious to know how his fortune compares to other former American Idol competitors. As you might imagine, he has quite a bit more money than some and much less than others.

Before "marrying herself" in 2017, Fantasia Barrino won season 3 of Idol, but she hasn't enjoyed the same kind of lasting success as Lambert. That's exemplified by the fact that she's only estimated to have about $3 million. Although Chris Daughtry came in fourth place on the fifth season of the show, he still managed to leverage that into a career that has earned him around $10 million, which is the same amount that season 6 winner Jordin Sparks has racked up. Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee has slightly more with $14 million and while that's not bad at all, it's not quite as much as the $20 million that Jennifer Hudson has brought in, which, in turn, is not even close to the $45 million that Kelly Clarkson has earned. But even she doesn't top this list!

The top spot goes to season 4 winner and country music star Carrie Underwood who has a whopping $140 Million, which proves that being an American Idol really can pay off and means that Adam Lambert could make even more in the future if he plays his cards (and/or concerts) right.
