Kristi Noem's Oldest Daughter Goes Private On Instagram Following Father's Scandal

Kristi Noem's husband Bryon's spicy online life was the MAGA scandal no one saw coming. It involved him conversing with adult stars while wearing fake breasts, and has seemingly affected more than his marriage. Kassidy Peters, Bryon's oldest daughter with Kristi Noem — who's no stranger to scandalous rumors herself — has put her Instagram account on private in the wake of the scandal. Of course, it's possible Kassidy had other motivations for locking her profile down, but the timing suggests she's hoping to insulate herself from public judgement. Speaking of the public, the internet has responded to Bryon's alleged online activities with a flurry of opinions. 

While most of the comments are too derogatory to share here, many people wondered whether his spicy behavior contributed to Kristi's removal from the Department of Homeland Security. As one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, "Do you think that this is what got Kristi Noem fired? Like maybe it was leaked to Trump ahead of time?" adding, "The timing seems suspicious." 

Meanwhile, another user suggested that the former South Dakota governor, who admitted in a public statement that she was "devastated" by Bryon's secret life, per the New York Post, leaked it to cast herself in a more favorable light in case their marriage ends, positing, "We all knew she was gonna character assassinate at some point in order to get that divorce and come off as the victim."

Bryon Noem has proven that there's so much the public doesn't know about his famous family, despite Kristi Noem's often boastful comments about their supposed transparency. "I don't know of another elected official that puts their family life out there, with their kids," she proudly told Elysian back in 2022. "All the funny, awkward, difficult moments, we are an open book. I think that is what this job requires in this day and age, you have to be real." As for how she handles negative press? Apparently, the Republican politician and her family always dive in head first. "My reaction is to run into the fire, particularly when I think a lot of people would want to stay home and stay away from the news or stay away from the bad articles," Kristi shared. 

She elaborated, "We tend to schedule public events and gather our family and go spend time with people." This story is still developing, so it's unclear just how much the former Trump staffer knew about Bryon's supposed habits beforehand. But it's entirely possible this is a recent development. In December 2025, Kristi celebrated her husband's birthday with a Facebook post, gushing, "You bring the fun to the family and your love for life inspires us all. Thank you for being a great dad and grandpa — and loving us all unconditionally. We are so blessed. Love you so much!"
