Sketchy Things About Pam Bondi's Rumored Husband John Wakefield We Can't Ignore
Pam Bondi has gushed about her husband a number of times, and she's not the only one, because Donald Trump is a massive fan of John Wakefield, too. There's just one issue: Details about their marriage are sketchy at best. And by "sketchy," we mean no one actually knows if they're hitched.
We weren't kidding when we said Trump was in Wakefield's corner. In fact, Trump might've been the first one to hint at Wakefield and Bondi being married in the first place. That detail came at Bondi's U.S. attorney general swearing-in, with Trump gushing to the press, "I just want to introduce her very, very handsome husband. I hate being around him, he looks too good. ... He's been a tremendous factor with Pam, and they have just a beautiful relationship" (via LiveNOW from FOX).
That may be so, and Bondi has acknowledged that Wakefield's support played a part in her taking the role of attorney general as well ... but like we said, the "husband" factor has a lot of people confused, and the verdict is out as to whether they ever officially tied the knot. Granted, Bondi does sport a particularly gaudy ring on that finger, and Wakefield has been spotted wearing a gold band as well, so maybe the twosome did get hitched at some point. However, there is also a possibility they're calling each other "Hubby" and "Wifey" and never made things officially official. It wouldn't be the first time Bondi went that route.
Pam and John could also just be life partners
Some may know that in 2012, Pam Bondi's wedding to Greg Henderson was called off last minute, but the two still had an informal ceremony of sorts, with "a prayer and a couple of Bible scriptures," per the Miami Herald. Other wedding-coded elements of the Cayman Islands bash included a white dress and a professional photographer.
With that in mind, perhaps Bondi and John Wakefield opted to do the same thing. As for the rings, it's not a requirement for those wearing them to have signed a marriage license, so it's possible they just like the symbolism of it all. Then again, some may also be aware of the fact that Bondi has referred to Wakefield's kids as her "stepdaughters." She did so during an interview on "Katie Miller Pod," and it certainly seemed as though she was close with them, so maybe the couple is officially married and we (and countless others) just missed something.
Whatever their actual relationship status, it's pretty clear Bondi is smitten with Wakefield. While some of their couple's pics have been awkward (TBH, whose haven't at some point or another?), there's no denying they always look thrilled to be together. Moreover, Bondi has credited him with being a major source of support for her, sharing on "Katie Miller Pod," "I couldn't do it without him. ... He is my rock. I could not physically, mentally do this without John, without my husband." Of course, Bondi actually has served as an attorney general sans Wakefield by her side in the past, but it's a sweet sentiment for sure. The details of Wakefield's marriage to Bondi may be sketchy, but if it works for them, it works for them.
