John Wakefield Has Fanned Pam Bondi Marriage Rumors With A Flashy Little Detail

Pam Bondi's whirlwind relationship history includes two short-lived marriages and a third engagement that ended before it hit the altar. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Donald Trump's former U.S. attorney general has changed her approach and kept her relationship with long-term boyfriend John Wakefield more low-key than those past partners. Many think Bondi's secrecy around Wakefield is a red flag, especially since they have been together since at least 2017. In fact, certain subtle details suggest Bondi and Wakefield are secretly married. One such sign is a pretty suspicious-looking ring Wakefield wears (and yes, it's on the finger you'd expect).

The photos below indicate that Wakefield rocked what appeared to be a wedding band on his ring finger on separate occasions. The picture on the left shows Bondi and Wakefield at the FIFA Club World Cup final in July 2025. The second picture was captured five months later, during the 48th Kennedy Center Honors in December 2025. That suggests Wakefield has been consistent in his habit of wearing the gold ring for high-profile events during Bondi's tenure in the Trump administration.

Despite that pretty big clue, neither Bondi nor Wakefield has ever addressed their current marital status. They haven't outright denied that they're married, but they have never confirmed it, either. It's like they pretend it isn't an important detail to share. They're well within their rights, we guess, but it does seem strange to guard generally innocuous information like this as if it were a state secret. This decision is particularly curious given just how many signs are out there to suggest that Wakefield is indeed Bondi's rumored husband.

Pam Bondi wears a pretty big diamond on her ring finger

Some might argue that John Wakefield may just be wearing a class ring or some other sort of ring on that particular finger for any kind of reason. However, Pam Bondi also happens to wear a massive rock on her ring finger, so these combined facts make a pretty strong case for the hubby and wifey theory. What's curious about all of this is that they seemingly don't try to hide their rings at all. Case in point — Bondi's diamond ring is so gaudy that it cut Donald Trump's hand at one point.

Trump being Trump, he hasn't exactly gotten over that incident, which happened at the 2024 Republican National Convention. According to The Wall Street Journal, the president brings it up every now and then behind closed doors. In public, however, he downplays it to avoid questions about his age and overall health. "There was a slight little cut," he later told The Wall Street Journal in January 2026. The president's potential clotting issues aside, Bondi's ring is indeed hard to miss, showing she doesn't exactly care if people make assumptions about her marital status — and yet, she won't admit to being married.

There is still a third big clue to suggest that Bondi may be Mrs. Wakefield, and it came from Trump himself. "I just want to introduce her handsome husband. I hate being around him. He looks too good," he said while introducing Wakefield during Bondi's swearing-in ceremony in February 2025 (via Fox News). Curious indeed.
