In a very rare crossover moment of pop culture, JoJo Siwa hung out with North West for a day — with Kim Kardashian's approval, of course. The YouTube video titled "BABYSITTING NORTH WEST!!! - JoJo Siwa" was uploaded to Siwa's channel — which has 11.9 million subscribers — in March 2019 and has gained 42 million views. In the nearly 7-minute video, Kardashian and North arrive at Siwa's home full of all things rainbow. Obviously growing fashion icon North arrived dressed in every color top to bottom, with a matching hair bow that came with its own train.
Mommy Kim left North in the care of Siwa (and a large camera crew) to play on an in-home slide, dig into her famous big bow collection, play hide-and-seek, and make super glittery slime. Kim Kardashian called JoJo Siwa a 'ray of sunshine'
TIME's annual 100 Most Influential People list was released on Sept. 23, 2020, and similar to past years, each honoree received a personalized tribute by a previous recipient of the prestigious acknowledgement. JoJo Siwa was included in this year's list and was given a touching dedication by Kim Kardashian.
"JoJo Siwa is a ray of sunshine in a world that seems scary right now. As a parent, you want your kids to admire positive figures. There's no one more positive than JoJo," Kardashian's tribute began, "You just can't help but smile when you see her rainbow ponytail. She's a great role model for children, and her optimism is more necessary now than ever. It's no wonder my 7-year-old daughter North and millions of other children around the world adore her."
Kardashian continued, "JoJo is never ashamed to be herself, which can be really hard to do in this industry, especially when you're so young. When Keeping Up With the Kardashians first aired, I was old enough to know who I was and make my own decisions. I can't imagine what it's like to live this life at age 17. JoJo embraces it, and I hope she always will."
No one knows for sure if the two are "friends," but at bare minimum, Kardashian has an astronomical amount of respect for the growing starlet.
