Teen Mom 2: Why Kailyn Lowry Isn't Celebrating Christmas With Her Kids

Sometimes when there are too many moving parts, it's just easier to do nothing. That seems to be the case when it comes to Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry's holiday plans. During the Nov. 19, 2020, episode of her podcast Coffee Convos, she told co-host Lindsie Chrisley that she is sitting out of this year's Christmas. "We're not doing anything. Like, I'm just not gonna have them so they don't have to get each other stuff," the mother of four explained, per Us Weekly. "They're gonna be with their dads, I'm pretty sure, until the end of Christmas Day, so I feel like maybe by then it would be over but also I don't know." Kail shares her eldest son, Isaac, with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, son Lincoln with ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, and sons Lux and Creed with on-and-off boyfriend Chris Lopez.

"I might ask them do they want to get each other anything for Christmas, and if they say yes, then I would just obviously facilitate that," Kailyn added. "It might be kind of nice to give each other something, so maybe we'll see." Keep scrolling for more details about Kailyn's Christmas plans.

Kailyn Lowry says it's hard to please everyone during the holiday season

We all know it's a struggle to coordinate the holidays with our own families and our in-laws, so we can imagine adding three extra sets of extended family would be a nightmare before Christmas for the Teen Mom 2 star. "I don't get to go to my family because my family, Jo's family and Javi's family are all in different areas, and then when we added Chris to the mix, it was like, there was just so much going on that I was never gonna have three happy dad situations," Kailyn Lowry explained on her podcast, per Us Weekly. "Then it was stressing me out to have one back by 4 o'clock, one back by 7 o'clock, and even though the custody orders say the same thing, it was almost like, okay, that's like a default. So we tried to agree on other things that would work and I just couldn't make it work to the point that everyone was actually happy about it."

Although Christmas seems like it will be a bust for Kail, she's looking forward to a drama-free Thanksgiving with her boys. "I'm going to Texas to see my best friend and her kids, and my kids are super pumped, so we're gonna be there for the week," she said of her Turkey Day plans. "That I'm very excited about but not even because of the holiday. I'm just excited to see my friend."
