Karlie Kloss Reveals She Tried To Talk To Jared Kushner And Ivanka Trump

It sounds like model Karlie Kloss is trying to talk some sense into the Trumps following the mayhem incited on Capitol Hill. Although that's probably a sentence you never thought you'd read, it actually isn't as out there as it seems. You see, the Victoria's Secret Angel is, in fact, married to Joshua Kushner. Yep, Jared Kushner's brother, which means she and his wife, Ivanka Trump, are sisters-in-laws. Small world, right?

While the two couples look eerily similar, they couldn't be more different. According to Esquire, Josh is a "lifelong Democrat," and in 2016, the outlet reported, he "will not be voting for Donald Trump in November." Later in 2017, he personally confirmed he and his brother don't see eye-to-eye on political views. "It is no secret that liberal values have guided my life and that I have supported political leaders that share similar values," he told Forbes

Furthermore, both Kloss and Josh were spotted at the Women's March and March for Our Lives against gun violence. It also seems like Kloss doesn't like when her two worlds collide. During an appearance on Project Runway where the challenge was to design an outfit fit for the model, one judge told a contestant they couldn't picture Kloss wearing their look "anywhere," to which the contestant responded, "Not even to dinner with the Kushners?" Snapping back, Kloss said, "Keep it to the challenge," adding, "You really missed the mark here, on all accounts."

Karlie Kloss clearly doesn't see eye-to-eye with her in-laws

Following the unrest we all witnessed on Jan. 6, 2021 when extremists stormed the Capitol, Karlie Kloss took to Twitter, like many celebrities and civilians alike, demanding an end to the false voter fraud madness that led to this mayhem. "Accepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic. Refusing to do so and inciting violence is anti-American," she wrote at the time. In response to her words, one user replied, "Tell your sister in law and brother law." To our surprise, Kloss responded, writing, "I've tried."

This isn't the first time Kloss has tried to distance herself from her in-laws' beliefs. "I'm sure I'm not the only person in this country who does not necessarily agree with their family on politics," she previously said on Watch What Happens Live (per E! News). "I voted as a Democrat in 2016 and I plan to do the same in 2020." She went on the share her 2020 vote on Instagram for President-elect Joe Biden. Well then, it sounds like Kloss' efforts to talk to the Trumps were just as effective as anyone else's.
