In the world of reality TV, Basketball Wives might be the ultimate series. It's certainly one of the OGs, having premiered on VH1 in 2010, and features the wives, girlfriends, and exes of professional ball players. The concept was a smart one, because viewers can't help but get obsessed with superstar athletes and their partners. Look how much fans love Larsa Pippen, who was married to Chicago Bulls mega-star Scottie Pippen. Or how about Stephen Curry's wife, Ayesha Curry, who serves serve non-stop couple goals? While neither Larsa nor Ayesha was on the VH1 series, Basketball Wives knows where it's at, because fans are definitely interested in the behind-the-scenes lives of basketball relationships.

One fan-favorite Basketball Wives star is Evelyn Lozada. She was once engaged to NBA star Antoine Walker, and they were together from 1998 to 2008. But Lozada has also had a remarkable life journey outside of this relationship. Here's what you should know about Evelyn Lozada's net worth, her ex-hubby, and her kids.

Evelyn Lozada's relationship timeline

Evelyn Lozada was with NBA player Antoine Walker from 1998 until 2008, and Walker was famous for playing with the Boston Celtics, according to the Daily Mail. Walker unfortunately wound up going bankrupt, and he's shared his financial journey in films such as Broke and Gone In an Instant. In a recent interview, Walker brought up Lozada and didn't exactly have great things to say about her.

"My thing with Evelyn is she reaped a lot of benefits of my wealth," Walker said in a radio interview with Russ Parr (via Madame Noire). "And when it got tight, she chose to go a different direction. So that's the problem that I have with Evelyn. That's more personal."

Following her relationship with Walker, Lozada began dating NFL star Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson (pictured above), and their relationship was chronicled on Basketball Wives, according to The Blast. They got engaged in 2010 and married in July 2012 but wound up ending the marriage two months later, because of a case of domestic battery, per the outlet.

Lozada then announced her engagement to baseball player Carl Crawford in 2013, according to People. However, in 2017, they parted ways, according to Us Weekly, over alleged reports of infidelity.

There were rumors that Lozada was dating Jennifer Lopez's ex, Marc Anthony but, as a later article by Us Weekly reported, they weren't actually dating and instead are just good friends. But Lozada isn't just a "basketball wife." She's also a mama! Here's how many kids she has.

Evelyn Lozada's adorable children

Evelyn Lozada is a mother-of-two. She has a daughter, Shaniece Hairston, according to People, whom she shares with Jamal Hairston. (It appears that Jamal's major claim to fame was his relationship with Lozada.) Shaniece was a 90s baby, according to The Blast, and Lozada's first child. Lozada was 16 when she got pregnant with Shaniece, while Jamal was 19. In fact, in an interview on the Oprah Winfrey Network, Lozada admitted that he was "a pretty decent guy" but they wound up breaking up because she caught him cheating.

Shaniece has appeared in episodes of Basketball Wives and even documented some of her own therapy on the Oprah Winfrey Network. In one clip from June 2016, Shaniece shared how close she feels with her mom. "I have a great mom," she said. "I've seen my mom's hurt — it's because we're so close in age — and I take it upon myself because it hurts me too.

Lozada also has a son, Carl Leo Crawford, whom she shares with former baseball player Carl Crawford, according to People. He was born on March 14, 2014 and a rep told ABC News that Crawford named his son after him and included Leo because Crawford himself was born in August and wanted his son to have that connection.

While Lozada might have been linked to some wealthy men, she has a remarkable net worth on her own.

Evelyn Lozada gives back in a big way

Evelyn Lozada has an entrepreneurial spirit. According to In Touch Weekly, she first worked as a secretary in Miami, Fla., and then decided to take a risk and opened her own shoe store, Dulce, in Coral Gables, Fla. Then Lozada joined VH1's Basketball Wives in 2010 and while she left the series in 2013, she returned in 2017. Lozada is also a busy author. She wrote a hit series called The Wives Association, with a nice play on the whole Basketball Wives theme, which included the hit novel, Full Circle. In 2019, she also wrote The Perfect Date with Holly Lorincz and in 2020, the duo wrote The Wrong Mr. Darcy.

Between all of these amazing projects, Lozada has a net worth of $4 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But Lozada not only makes money... she gives back. Lozada founded the Evelyn Lozada Foundation and launched the Turn Hurt Into Joy campaign, which focuses on "survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault," according to ET Online. What a great way to help others!
