Who Bachelor Fans Want To Replace Chris Harrison

Ever since Chris Harrison announced his plans to step aside from hosting The Bachelor and other various offshoots of the franchise, fans cannot help but wonder — who is going to replace him?

This comes after Harrison defended Season 25 contestant Rachael Kirkconnell after racially insensitive social media posts surfaced. In an interview with former Bachelorette turned Extra correspondent Rachel Lindsay, Harrison spoke out against cancel culture and used the term "woke police" in defense of the controversial contestant.

Harrison has since apologized with a lengthy post on his Instagram, writing in part, "By excusing historical racism, I defended it... I am ashamed over how uninformed I was. I was so wrong." In the same post, the TV host announced his leave of absence, adding, "The historic season of The Bachelor should not be marred or overshadowed by my mistakes or diminished by my actions. To that end, I have consulted with Warner Bros. and ABC and will be stepping aside for a period of time."

So, with Harrison gone for "a period of time," who will host the fan favorite dating show? ABC has not made any official announcements on Harrison's replacement but, of course, Bachelor Nation fans have some suggestions of their own. While some want to keep the gig in the Bachelor Nation family, others have different ideas.

Bachelor fans suggest Bachelor Nation stars, ABC hosts, and... Danny DeVito?

With Chris Harrison stepping aside, Bachelor fans are abuzz with who could be the next host. One fan suggested Michael Strahan for the role. Sure, Strahan may be busy with hosting Good Morning America, but he's already part of the ABC family, and his experience hosting various other programs for the network would make him a logical choice. Other ABC darlings, such as Strahan's GMA co-host Robin Roberts or American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, might also be potential candidates.

Another fan tweeted that Wells Adams should replace Harrison. Wells is already part of Bachelor Nation, being the bartender on Bachelor in Paradise and a Bachelorette alum. There were rumors of him taking over for Harrison before the scandal, but at the time, Wells told People, "I like just being the co-host at these silly athletic dates. That seems more up my alley."

Speaking of Bachelorette alums, a lot of fans feel that JoJo Fletcher is the obvious choice since she has already filled in for Harrison before when he was on leave for a few episodes during Season 16 of the The Bachelorette. Another suggestion? Former America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks. While Banks was named the new Dancing with the Stars host, the show is currently on hiatus, leaving time for Banks to take over for The Bachelor.

But, of course, Reddit offered the most interesting suggestion thus far — Danny DeVito. Fans were intrigued with the idea, with one writing, "finally something we can all agree on."
