Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker are total couple goals. The retired football player and country singer married in 2013 and have since gone on to welcome three children into the world, as they're happy parents to 7-year-old daughter Vivianne and two sons, 5-year-old Eric Decker II and 3-year-old Forrest.

The two haven't exactly been shy about their relationship either. Eric and Jessie gave fans a peak behind closed doors from 2013 until 2017 during three seasons of their own reality show, "Eric & Jessie: Game On," and haven't been afraid to share personal moments on social media since the series came to an end.

The two regularly prove they're still just as in love as ever, with Jessie making it clear her husband will "never be bored" in a steamy Instagram video posted in April 2021. It showed the two getting very close while Eric was shirtless and Jessie wore a skintight bodysuit, before the latter playfully licked her finger and stuck it in her husband's ear.

But what are some strange things fans may not know about Eric and Jessie's marriage? Read on to find out.

Jessie James Decker wanted to 'cry' after Eric Decker scheduled a vasectomy

Jessie James Decker confirmed in January 2021 that she and husband Eric Decker don't know if they'll be adding a fourth to their brood of three children but said she felt like tears after he booked a vasectomy. Jessie told Us Weekly the retired football player had scheduled the surgery, but she wasn't so sure if she wanted him to go through with it.

"I'm going to be real with you, he has a doctor's appointment to go be done with it, to get snipped," the "Wanted" singer admitted. "I don't know how I feel about it. I keep thinking, 'He's going to wake up that morning to go to the hospital and I'm just going to cry.'"

But while she's not totally sold on her husband's procedure, she admitted she thinks they're probably "done" having children. "Three is a great number, but I feel like I might get a little Joanna Gaines feeling later on in my 30s and be like, 'Shoot, let's have one more.' I just don't know that I'm ready for him to make it so permanent," she said.

Eric Decker's been very much warned by Jessie James Decker

Jessie James Decker had made it clear that any kind of bad behavior from her husband won't be tolerated — especially when it comes to cheating. In December 2016, she posted a tongue in cheek photo to her Instagram account that showed her chopping sausages with a very large knife. It showed one fully cut up on a chopping board with three more in a packet next to it. "Sometimes I like to send pictures to Eric with little reminders of what would happen if he ever cheated. Hope everyone has a good day," the TV host teased in the caption.

Plenty of fans saw the funny side of the star's upload and made it clear in the comments section. "You go girl, I told my husband the same thing," one person joked. Another quipped, "Apparently, she means business and it's pretty funny."

By the looks of things, Eric's definitely not going to want to get on Jessie's bad side...

Eric Decker has been accused of cheating of Jessie James Decker

Speaking of cheating, Eric Decker has actually faced rumors of infidelity in his marriage. Almost two years after Jessie James Decker's jokey Instagram post, the athlete was accused of stepped out on Jessie after a Twitter user accused him of having "hooked up with" other women (per Entertainment Tonight). They also claimed in the September 2018 tweet that they had a friend who'd supposedly seen him "in the clubs with girls who are not Jessie."

The original tweet has since been deleted but not before Eric saw it and hit back, denying the seemingly unfounded claims. He quoted the original message and wrote, "Sorry lady the only club I've been jammin is The Mickey Mouse Club House! (That's a kids tv show for the non parents) Make sure your 'friends' check their facts."

After Jessie's sausage cutting post, we're pretty inclined to believe him.

Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker got rid of people trying to create fake drama

As fans of Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker will already know, the run up to their 2013 wedding and the first couple of years of newlywed bliss was all captured by the reality TV cameras for their show, "Eric & Jessie: Game On." The couple aired plenty of private moments, but Jessie admitted they actually had to "[get] rid" of people from the production team because they wanted to manufacture drama that just didn't exist between herself and her husband.

"There were a few different producers who were looking for ways to create more drama in our relationship, so they had to go. Eric and I just don't have drama. We're very happy," Jessie told Momtastic

She recalled "having a little bit of a struggle" in the early days of the show in which she made it clear to the network that they weren't going to fake any drama. "So we got rid of those people and brought in the people who really did understand us. I wanted to keep it fun! I felt like drama wasn't necessary for us to create an entertaining show," she added.

Jessie James Decker's friend swapped pictures with Eric Decker before they met

Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker actually had a virtual relationship before they met in person and didn't get together for several weeks after they started talking. In an interview with Access Hollywood (per Bustle), they revealed their relationship technically started in winter 2011 when Jessie got a text from a friend that read, "'I'm having dinner with this guy I'm seeing, and this other guy just showed up, and he's stunning.'"

The friend then sent Jessie a photo of Eric and passed on a snap of Jessie to Eric in return. Both clearly liked what they saw and swapped numbers before spending about a month texting and calling one another. Jessie admitted that Eric then "invited himself" out to meet her in Nashville, though she was pretty nervous and actually ended up canceling Eric's flight.

She eventually got the courage to meet face to face with the sports star, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Jessie James Decker took down her Twitter account after defending Eric Decker

Jessie James Decker is very vocal about her love for Eric Decker, so much so that it's got her in hot water. In November 2014, Daily News reported that Jessie was forced to deactivate her Twitter account after she got trolled by football fans. It all happened after Eric – who played for the New York Jets at the time — tweeted, "#jetsnation, tell me why you love the @nyjets using #jetsdiehardfan and I'll send a signed prize to my favorite."

The star got some less than nice responses and Jessie rushed to his defence, which opened her up to nasty comments. Jessie got so much hate she temporarily left the social media site. Eric returned the favor and defended her in a series of tweets, which have been deleted. "You think he really cares what y'all think haters? He's laughing his a** alllll the way home....Life is pretty good here. Can't complain," he wrote.

Daily News reported that Eric added, "First of all... [Jessie] wasn't attacking Jets fans. She was attacking people that were saying negative comments. I've got a lot of respect for the fact that she's gonna say what a lot of people feel. If you don't like something, don't say anything." He continued, "She's got my back and I did a nice gesture as far as reaching out to fans to give a prize away."

Eric Decker got some strange going away presents from Jessie James Decker

Jessie James Decker wanted to make sure she was on Eric Decker's mind during his many trips away to play football, but the item she chose to gift the sportsman as a sentimental present is probably not what fans would expect. In 2016, she told Us Weekly that she would actually give him pieces of her hair extensions and would hide them in his pockets before he went away.

"I don't wear [extensions] anymore because my hair finally grew out, but I used to wear the bonds and I would pull them out and put them in pockets," she explained, adding, "I just wanted him to think about me so I would put hair everywhere." As for how Eric felt about the clumps of hair, he admitted, "Right away I was so embarrassed, but then after a while I was like, 'It's Jess,' you know?"

Well, that's one way to stay on his mind.
