The Real-Life Partners Of The Cast Of 9-1-1

Fox's "9-1-1" has been delighting viewers since its premiere in January 2018. The show, in case you've never seen it, revolves around a group of police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and dispatchers in Los Angeles. The show was created by the prolific television producer Ryan Murphy, who has also brought us "Nip/Tuck," "Glee," "American Horror Story," and a myriad of other entertaining shows, per IMDb.

The real-life partners of the cast of "9-1-1" have had to put up with the crazy schedules of their spouses and partners throughout the show's four seasons to date. The current season ends on May 24, and there hasn't been any news about a 5th season renewal as of this writing. That said, news about whether "9-1-1" is coming back for another season or not should be revealed any day now, per Looper.

As the cast and crew of the popular procedural show wait on news, they get to spend time with their real-life partners. Let's take a look at who those people are in the lives of Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, and Aisha Hinds.

Angela Bassett's husband is a talented actor, too

Can we all just come to the agreement that Angela Bassett is a goddess? OK, good. I'm sure her husband, actor Courtney B. Vance, agrees. Bassett and Vance met at the Yale School of Drama in the 1980s. Vance, a Harvard graduate, was pursuing his M.F.A. Bassett had her B.A. from Yale and was working on her M.F.A. It was not love at first sight. Vance had a girlfriend at the time, who was also at Yale. They remained friends, per Oprah Daily.

Then, about 14 years later their paths crossed in Los Angeles. In an interview with People, Bassett said, "And I was single, he was single. And I had such an appreciation for him over those years—of his consistency, how he treated other people, of what a supporter he is, what a connector of people and ideas he is, how passionate he is."

Their first date was in 1994. About that, Bassett told Oprah, "Dare I say it wasn't memorable. He just seemed like a really, really nice guy. Which translated to kind of boring. That was it. Wasn't gonna give him a second thought." They went on a second date, though, despite that, and the rest is history. They married in 1997 and had twins via surrogate in 2006, per People.

Peter Krause has been with a Gilmore Girl for more than a decade

Peter Krause plays Bobby Nash on "9-1-1," but he's been gracing our television screens for decades while appearing on "Sports Night," "Six Feet Under," "Dirty Sexy Money," "Parenthood," and "The Catch," per IMDb. His longtime partner was a co-star on one of his series. He's been dating "Gilmore Girl" Lauren Graham since 2010.

The two met in 1995 when they both appeared on the show "Caroline in the City." Like Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance, it wasn't love at first sight. In an interview on "Live with Kelly," Krause said, "We were guest-starring [on "Caroline in the City"]. She had me move some furniture into her apartment for her back then ... I didn't catch the signal."

Krause and Graham didn't get together until they were cast as brother and sister on "Parenthood" in 2010, via People. Krause and Graham live together in Los Angeles.

Jennifer Love Hewitt found love on the set of The Client List

Jennifer Love Hewitt has dated a number of high-profile actors and celebrities in the past, including Joey Lawrence, Carson Daly, and John Mayer, per HuffPost. She met Scottish actor Ross McCall on "Ghost Whisperer," and dated him from 2005 to 2007. They got engaged but called it off before making it down the aisle, according to People.

Hewitt met actor Brian Hallisay when they appeared in "Love Bites" in 2011. They reconnected when Hallisay appeared on the Hewitt-led series "The Client List" and started dating in March 2012. They got married after roughly a year and a half of dating on November 20, 2013, per US Weekly. Their daughter Autumn James was born that same month. They welcomed a son, Atticus James, in June 2015, as reported by People.

Fans of "9-1-1" may recognize Hallisay as Doug Kendall on the show. From late 2018 to early 2019, he played the abusive husband of Hewitt's character Maddie Buckley. Hallisay has also appeared on "Privileged," "Revenge," "Bones," "Medium" and "CSI: NY," among others, per IMDb.

Oliver Stark is dating a Guardian of the Galaxy

Oliver Stark plays Even "Buck" Buckley on "9-1-1." Previously he appeared as Ryder in AMC's "Into the Badlands." He's also had roles in "9-1-1 Lone Star," "Dracula," "Underworld: Blood Wars," "Luther," "Venus vs. Mars," and "Montana," to name just a few of the talented British actor's credits, per IMDb.

Stark has been dating actor and model Hannah Harlow since 2015, per TVOverMind. Harlow played the Sovereign Chambermaid in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2." Harlow is from New York City, while Stark hails from London. Harlow also appeared on an episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" in 2016. In 2011, she was a model on six episodes of the popular fashion design show "Project Runway," per IMDb.

She is 5'10" tall to Stark's 6'2". They have something else in common, too. Both use stage names. Hannah is also known as Hannah Gottesman, while Stark's early credits list him as Oliver Leon Jones, via IMDb.

Aisha Hinds got engaged during the pandemic

Aisha Hinds plays Henrietta "Hen" Wilson on "9-1-1," a lesbian paramedic and the only first responder on the series who is openly gay. She's also played Harriet Tubman in "Underground," been on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and appeared in "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," "Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.," and "Shots Fired," per IMDb.

In real life, the 45-year-old actor has been in a long-term relationship with Silky Valenté. The two got engaged in November 2020. Aisha took to her Instagram account to announce the news, posting a photo with her love that showed off her gorgeous engagement ring. She captioned the snap simply, "Yes." In another picture with her fiancé, she said, "Three weeks ago, today, he asked if we could grow together for the rest of our lives.........Ai said bet."

Hinds was surprised by the proposal. "That definitely was a day of unexpected joy. He completely surprised me. He did it on my birthday. Because of 2020, I had no plans to have a plan. I was pulling back the plans," she said in an interview with Essence.

Valenté's Instagram bio reveals that he's a "Master of Ceremony/Host/MC🎤/LifeStyle Concierge/ Radio PodCast/ TV Personality/Entrepreneur."
