Is Justin Timberlake Still Friends With The Members Of NSYNC?

According to Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake is a chronic non-replier when it comes to text messages. Maybe he's busy writing another chart-topping hit, or perhaps he's tending to his two sons. Whatever the case may be, the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer rarely responds, so on the rare occasion that he does, his former NSYNC co-member rejoices — and tells TikTok all about it.

On his TikTok and Instagram pages, Bass shared a cheeky video of himself partying with people (albeit virtually), with the caption: "When JT finally responds to my text." Some fans were quick to assume that it might be a sign that there's drama brewing between the two, but Timberlake cleared the air right away and said that he is indeed busy with fatherhood. "Once those babies show up... your unavailability will all make sense, bro," he commented on the post (via Entertainment Weekly), along with laughing emojis.

Timberlake may not be responsive to texts, but it doesn't mean that he's no longer good friends with Bass — and the rest of NSYNC.

Justin Timberlake and NSYNC are still very much involved in each other's lives

It was 2002 when NSYNC announced that they were going on hiatus. Back then, everyone thought that Justin Timberlake was the reason why they arrived at that decision, but the singer clarified that it was all mutual. "At that time, I think everybody had aspirations of doing other things and we had talked about it," he told Zane Lowe in an interview for Apple Music Essentials (via E! News). "For me it was always my dream was to have my own record." He went on to become the most successful member of the band, so many had the impression that there was a rift between him and the rest of NSYNC.

However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Aside from joking around with them on social media, Lance Bass confirmed that Timberlake joins their weekly Zoom calls and maintained that they're still good friends after all these years. "Your relationships, they get tighter, so now we have happy hours every week together on Zoom, which is fun," Bass said in an interview on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." He was also happy that Timberlake took the time to guest on his podcast, "The Lance Bass Show," where they got to discuss their days with the boy band. "I thought it was fun and I heard a lot of things for the first time coming out of Justin's mouth about NSYNC... It was great to hear his perspective."

Justin Timberlake and NSYNC share parenting tips with each other

Back in the day, perhaps the biggest problem NSYNC had was whether or not they would get frosted tips. But now, it's all about fatherhood. Many of the members have kids now, which is why it's also difficult to reconnect in person.

"I haven't met anybody. I haven't even met Silas yet. It's true — I haven't met Silas," Joey Fatone told HollywoodLife when asked if he had gotten the chance to meet Justin Timberlake's children. "I haven't been to LA. Every time I was in LA, he wasn't home or he was on tour which was about a year-and-a-half ago so it's hard," he added. "And then he was shooting, I think in New Orleans for a movie, so every time he's been doing something when I'm in LA, he's always out of town so we'll do that. We will."

Even though their schedules have yet to align, Fatone shared that the group still makes it a point to exchange parenting advice. After all, there's no better form of bonding than talking about sleep deprivation and dirty diapers. "We've talked about a few things as far as parenting here and there. As far as, 'Oh my God, I don't miss diapers anymore. Thank God,'" the singer quipped.
