Is Drake Really Friends With This 90 Day Fiance Star?
Celebrities are just like us. They, too, are obsessed with reality shows and "90 Day Fiance" in particular. The TLC franchise has become so popular that even our favorite stars watch it. If you're unfamiliar, the show follows couples who have applied for the K-1 visa, or more commonly known as "the fiancé visa." These visas are only granted to the fiances of U.S. citizens. On the show, the couples meet and decide within 90 days if they're going to marry or not.
Many celebrities have already admitted to being big fans of the show. Pete Davidson gushed about the reality series on "The Breakfast Club," saying that he looks up to one of the participants. "I'm obsessed with all of them. I wouldn't get freaked out if I saw Leonardo DiCaprio, but if I saw Big Ed walking down 6th Ave I would lose my f**king mind. I would go insane," he said. Amy Schumer shared the same sentiment on Today, saying, "I get starstruck by reality stars. Like if I saw someone from '90 Day Fiancé,' those kind of people."
Apparently, Grammy-winning rapper Drake is a big fan of "90 Day Fiance" too, and even made friends with one of the stars of the show.
Drake apparently slid into Caesar's DMs
According to "90 Day Fiance" star Caesar Mack, Drake isn't a mere fan of the show — he's made friends with him, too. Caesar is one of the more well-known contestants because of his unique situation with his then-girlfriend named Maria. According to him, he sent tens and thousands of dollars to her throughout the five years they were together, but never actually met in person. Per Entertainment Tonight, he was warned about being catfished, but in the finale, it turned out that Maria was real and didn't meet Caesar because she wasn't physically attracted to him.
But Caesar has moved on with his life and is now apparently making friends with the rich and the famous. In the show's spinoff "90 Days Bares All," he shared that Drake slid his into his DMs, resulting in a friendship formed between the two. "He messaged me, he was like, 'Hey Ceas, how you doing?'" he recalled, per Cinema Blend. "We just started becoming friends and he sent me some of his clothing from his clothing line. Yeah, he's an awesome person."
In the same episode, his fellow "90 Day Fiance" star Yara Zaya was skeptical of the whole thing and said that someone else might be playing tricks on him. But Caesar was adamant that it's all real. She said (via Entertainment Tonight),"But if it's the real Drake, I think this sounds so much cool because I love him, okay?"
The love for reality shows runs in Drake's family
Caesar Mack apparently hasn't been lying. It does seem like he's friends with Drake. On the subreddit of "90 Day Fiance," fans were quick to notice that the rapper follows Caesar on Instagram. He also reposted a story of Caesar's, one that features a meme of Drake saying no to Little Caesar's Pizza and saying yes to Caesar Mack. Ha!
It doesn't end there! In another post on the same subreddit, fans pointed out that Drake occasionally likes Darcey Silva's posts on Instagram. The fact that the "Way 2 Sexy" singer loves reality series isn't all that surprising considering how his father, Dennis Graham, was once in talks to star in his own reality show. Per a TMZ report from 2019, the 67-year-old was set to document his journey to finding true love and share it with the world.
It's unclear whether plans were ever set in motion, but should it come to fruition, at least we know Drake would be tuning in.
