The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Season 3 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

There's no doubting that "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" cast know how to bring the drama. Despite being one of the newer cities in the franchise (the series hit Bravo in 2022), it's quickly risen to the top to become one of the franchises with the most cattiness and "Oh no she didn't!" moments.

Of course, one of the most shocking storyline stems from Jen Shah, whose run in with the law has been very public news. Shah was indicted back in March 2021 for allegedly taking part in a telemarketing scheme and could face decades in prison. Manhattan U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss confirmed the legal allegations, saying in a statement obtained by People that she and her assistant, Stuart Smith, "allegedly generated and sold 'lead lists' of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam." They continued, "In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims' money. Now, these defendants face time in prison for their alleged crimes."

That all came to light as "RHOSLC" Season 2 was filming, which meant we saw Shah break down over the allegations in candid scenes. But could things get even more candid in Season 3 as Shah faces trial? Well, it looks like there's still plenty of drama to come.

Is RHOSLC Season 3 happening?

Yes! We know "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" will officially be back, as the cast have already been spotted filming new episodes. AZ Central confirmed that the cast were spotted getting some footage in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona, in February 2022, and Radar Online also reporting that filming had officially begun. It sounds like the ladies had a pretty fun time together despite all their drama, too, as they reportedly took a ride on an Arizona Party Bike — which it sounds like involves a few drinks. Footage shared to Twitter showed the ladies looking pretty happy as they walked towards the party vehicle and a representative from the Scottsdale Tourism and Events Department confirmed the "production company applied for a film permit for general B-Roll around Scottsdale... and possibly being filmed riding a bike bar trolley on public streets."

Jen Shah was spotted filming with the ladies, so it's possible we'll hear more about her legal drama, though don't expect any old footage to be used in the case — at least if Shah gets her way, that is. Us Weekly reported that the reality star had filed to have any clips from "RHOSLC" stay out of the courtroom.

Who's returning?

Well, like mentioned, Jen Shah will be back, but there will be a few other familiar faces popping up in "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" Season 3 as well. Whitney Rose, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, and Heather Gay were also on the cast trip to Arizona, per AZ Central, while Radar Online revealed the cameras have also been rolling with two newbies. As for who the new faces will be? It's reported that real estate superstar Tyna Edwards will be rubbing shoulders with the ladies, as well as Angie Katsanevas, the CEO of Lunatic Fringe Salons. It's not yet clear if the two are official Housewives for Season 3 or if they'll be in Friend roles when the Bravo show returns, but it's thought the two could possibly be replacements for Mary Cosby and Jennie Nguyen.

There's been plenty of talk about if Cosby will be back after she skipped the Season 2 reunion and Page Six then claimed in February 2022 that she'd officially left the show. Cosby denied that on Twitter though, slamming the report as she tweeted, "This Story Is Not True!!This is a complete Fabrication' A Complete Lie!' I have not spoke to anyone!!" However, that denial came at the same time as Entertainment Tonight's insider claimed "she's not filming and there are no plans to film with her." As for Nguyen, Bravo confirmed in January 2022 she would no longer be on the show after past racially insensitive comments resurfaced.

What will happen in Season 3?

Well, this is "Real Housewives," so literally anything could happen in "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" Season 3. Executive producer Andy Cohen did give us a hint at what's to come though, when he also confirmed that filming had begun on Season 2. "The reunion left off with the women who are remaining in quite a dramatic spot, where you don't know what's going to happen. So I'm glad that there are cameras on them now, because it's already kicking off, there's a lot going on and I'm glad we're there shooting right now," Cohen teased to Entertainment Tonight in February 2022.

Cohen appeared to hint that filming wanted to capture all the fallout from Jen Shah's case, adding, "We did something similar with Beverly Hills, where we started shooting the new season fairly soon after we shot the reunion and in a case like both of those, it really paid off." However, there may not be as much footage from Shah's sticky legal situation as fans may have hoped. The trial was set to begin in March 2022, but Radar Online reported that month that things had been pushed back to July 2022. It's not clear if the "RHOSLC" Season 3 cameras will still be rolling then, but with or without Shah's situation, we're sure there's plenty more drama ahead!
