Eiza González is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. An actor and singer, González shot to fame in Mexico after starring in several soap operas, and eventually made the transition to acting in the U.S. where she's found major success. Fans may know her from her work on the television show "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," in films like "Baby Driver," "Godzilla vs. Kong," and her performance as a paramedic alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2022 actioner "Ambulance."
González's career has been making waves, and her impeccable style (did you see her at the 2022 Met Gala?) is also being highly talked about. But one thing she does prefer to keep on the down low is her love life. However, that doesn't mean she is totally shut off from sharing juicy details on her perfect match. She told Latina magazine (via Just Jared) back in 2017, "I'm looking for love like any other human being, and I'm in search of that right person. Did her relationship with Pepe Diaz end in drama?
From 2010 to 2011, Eiza González starred as Clara Molina (aka Roxy-Pop) on the Nickelodeon Latin America television series "Sueña conmigo." After that, she nabbed a more serious role in the telenovela "Amores Verdaderos" as Nikki Brizz Balvanera. By summer of 2013, González shared on Twitter (via People Español) that she was single. She wrote, "I tell you that I have been single for more than a month. Happy closing a cycle because another incredible one is coming that has me very excited." According to the Latin Times, González and Diaz were spotted ringing in 2014 together.
Following their split, however, a report emerged that claimed González was unfaithful. According to People Español, González presumedly said something about cheating on Diaz with his own brother. However, a source claimed that the recording was not legit. They added, "It was recorded by people other than Eiza who were in the place. Eiza never had anything to do with Jorge Diaz."
She had a brief romance with Liam Hemsworth
In September 2013, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth made headlines when they called off their engagement. Just a few days later, "The Hunger Games" actor was linked to someone else when photos showed him kissing a mystery woman in Los Angeles. That mystery woman would turn out to be Eiza González.
E! News reported that the same month, Hemsworth and González were seen partying it up at a Las Vegas nightclub. While there's no word on when this duo called it quits, Hemsworth and Cyrus did end up reconciling around January 2016 with People stating that the "Wrecking Ball" songstress was seen wearing her engagement ring. The couple tied the knot in December 2018, but less than a year later, decided to go their separate ways.
When González was asked about her relationship with Hemsworth by Latina Magazine (via People) in 2017, she didn't give too much away. "I would never talk about that," she stated before noting that she believes her professional life should be of more interest than her personal life. She continued, "I think that your life as a public person is already so exposed. I'm being linked to people because it's my environment. It's like your school. We don't know each other. It's people I surround myself with. I don't know why it's such a big thing."
Eiza dated co-star D.J. Cotrona
Eiza González was quickly making a name for herself in Hollywood when she landed a role in the television series "From Dusk till Dawn: The Series," which premiered in 2014 and lasted for just three seasons, ending in 2016. While filming, she happened to fall for her co-star D.J. Cotrona. And, to be honest, who wouldn't?
Latin Post confirmed that the pair began dating around September 2014 after she shared a photo with Cotrona on social media. "This guy has been with me in the best and worst, and has helped me go through everything with a huge smile on my face," she wrote. "Thank God for bringing you into my life! I couldn't be more lucky to have such a beautiful inside out person as my life partner! I love you my love!"
Variety Latino reported that González and Cotrona called it quits a year later. There's no word as to why the couple decided to part ways, but they do continue to follow one another on Instagram, making it seem that they might have ended things on good terms. Again, the actor strays away from discussing her romantic relationships, sharing, "I like to keep my life private."
The rumored fling with Cristiano Ronaldo
Eiza González and legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo were first linked in July 2016 when they were seen together in Ibiza. The same month, she was later spotted attending one of Ronaldo's matches, only fueling more romance rumors, per The Sun. Although they weren't photographed together, the Daily Mail also reported that they were seen leaving the same Hollywood nightclub on a different night in — you guessed it — July. Could this have been just a summer fling for the stars? Or was it nothing whatsoever?
We may never know the full story, but according to the Mirror, González's rep denied anything was going on with Ronaldo. Whatever the case, the Manchester United star moved on with Georgina Rodriguez. The couple share a daughter named Alana, who was born in 2017, welcomed twins Mateo and Eva via surrogate that same year, and in 2022, welcomed a daughter named Bella, whose twin brother sadly died during childbirth, per Page Six. Ronaldo is also the father of Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., his eldest son whose mother's identity has not been made public.
Maluma's on her dating list, too
The next summer, Eiza González was reportedly dating someone new when reports emerged that she was seen at a club in Los Angeles with Colombian musician Maluma. According to Univision, the actor wanted to meet the "Sobrio" singer because she likes his work, and it appeared that after their initial meeting she might've become more than just a fan.
According to TV Notas, things apparently got hot and heavy between González and Maluma in August 2017. They were seen at another L.A. nightclub, but this time, they reportedly didn't hide the PDA. A source shared, "They did not stop kissing, because they take advantage of every time they see each other since due to their agendas it is difficult for them to coincide." Perhaps nothing more than summer fling, the source added that their romance was a casual thing as their work schedules made it hard for them to see one another. There's no word as to when the duo ended things, but the next year, she had already moved on with Fergie's ex.
Eiza González moved on with Josh Duhamel
According to Us Weekly, Eiza González and Josh Duhamel reportedly met at a Super Bowl after party hosted by Jennifer Lopez in 2018. The outlet's tipster said González apparently left Duhamel smitten, and so he asked a friend for her number. The pair became exclusive, but their romance would only last for just a few months.
Before the couple called it quits, the Daily Mail reported that they were seen vacationing in Mexico. They went public with their relationship just a month before breaking up when they attended the wedding of Ashley Greene and Paul Khoury in June of 2018. In July, paparazzi photographed Duhamel walking out of a gym in Los Angeles and asked him about their relationship where he announced that they were over. He was heard stating, "If you're looking for Eiza, we're done." While Duhamel's choice of words didn't exactly scream "conscious uncoupling," People reported that there were no hard feelings as they couldn't make their relationship work because of busy work schedules.
Before linking up with González, Duhamel was married to Fergie for eight years before they decided to split in September 2017. The former couple share a son named Axl. As of this writing, the "Safe Haven" actor is engaged to Audra Mari after sharing the news on Instagram in January 2022.
She was seen with Timothée Chalamet for a short time
When Eiza González struck up a romance Timothée Chalamet, the paparazzi were ready for it. She was spotted kissing the "Dune" actor in Mexico in June 2020. TMZ nabbed photos of the pair vacationing in Cabo San Lucas where they enjoyed hanging out by the pool, and where at one point, Chalamet picked up a guitar and played for the actor. Elle also shared snaps of the couple flaunting major PDA while swimming in a pool.
The pairing came just a couple of months after Chalamet split with Lily-Rose Depp, who he dated for over a year, per Us Weekly. However, Chalamet and González wouldn't last long either, with E! News reporting that they were done around October of 2020.
Just like González, Chalamet enjoys a private life, especially when it comes to his relationships. When he was dating Depp, the actor expressed frustration with paparazzi who took pictures of the former couple while they were trying to enjoy a vacation in Italy. He shared with GQ, "I went to bed that night thinking that was one of the best days of my life. I was on this boat all day with someone I really loved, and closing my eyes, I was like, indisputably, 'That was great.' And then waking up to all these pictures, and feeling embarrassed, and looking like a real nob? All pale?'" Chalamet and González have never spoken about their short five-month romance.
Eiza González and Jason Momoa hit it off
The Hollywood rumor mill was buzzing when Jason Momoa attended the movie premiere of "Ambulance" in April 2022 — yes, as in the very film that stars Eiza González. And what do you know, as of this writing, she's apparently dating the "Aquaman" actor. People reported that the stars are indeed a couple, with a source sharing, "They are dating. He cares about her. He's in a great place, working on 'Fast X.' He's quite busy, but he's in a good place."
The news of the latest couple comes just a few months after Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced that they were splitting after almost 20 years together. The couple officially tied the knot in November 2017 and share two children together. Their joint statement, which went up on Instagram in 2022 (via People), read, "The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become."
At the time of writing, González and Momoa follow one another on Instagram but have yet to go Instagram official. So far, it sounds like they're taking things bit by bit. A source for People shared, "They're both just seeing where it goes."
