The Leading Ladies Of '90s TV Westerns Are Aging Like Fine Wine

It's been a hot minute since shows like "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.," and "Walker, Texas Ranger" were on our TV screens. These iconic shows paved the way for modern Western hits like "Yellowstone" and its spin-offs. And, while the '90s are further in the rearview mirror than we'd like to admit, the stars of some of the decade's biggest Western TV shows prove that age is just a number. Just as the cast of "Yellowstone" is even more stunning in real life, so are these leading ladies.

These leading ladies of '90s TV Westerns may have put their Wild West days behind them, but they're still as gorgeous as ever. In fact, many of them are aging like fine wine (but feel free to substitute "wine" with whatever qualifies as a saloon's top shelf offer). From Sheree J. Wilson's low-glam look to Kelly Rutherford being the face of a major beauty brand in her 50s, these ladies are proof that age does bring wisdom and beauty.

Without a doubt, the first TV Western to come to mind for most when thinking back on the '90s would be "Walker, Texas Ranger." Chuck Norris played the titular character, but Sheree J. Wilson brought his love interest Alex Cahill to the screen. Years later, fans of the show are still swooning over their romance. In response to a video shared on YouTube of the characters' very first scene together, one gushed, "The chemistry was there from the start with those 2." Others have even made fan edits of their best moments throughout the show's nine-season run, and it's safe to say viewers loved the two together. Of course, many have also hinted at crushing on Wilson's character ... and over 25 years after the final episode aired, some still are. Taking to Instagram, one fan gushed, "She was breathtaking on the show and to this day she still looks smoking hot." Others have even brought up her even earlier work, one writing, "I remember her from 'Dallas.' So beautiful."

These days, Wilson tends to go for a barely-there makeup look. In fact, in some pics on her Instagram it seems as though she's skipped glam altogether, opting instead to let her natural glow shine through. Either way, we're going to agree with the fans: Wilson was gorgeous during her days as Cahill, and she's just as stunning now.

Nia Peeples only joined "Walker, Texas Ranger" as Sydney Cooke for the show's final two seasons, but it's safe to say she made her mark in that time. Countless netizens have gushed over her being one of their first crushes, and many have said they still have a soft spot for the star who was born in 1961. That's not exactly surprising given she still looks much the same, albeit slightly older and embracing her grays. However, there is one noticeable difference. That'd be her right eye, which has completely changed as a result of nerve damage. As she shared in an interview with Danny Morel, she'd had "shingles of the trigeminal nerve" in 2013, and that a decade later, scarring began to appear on the affected eye. 

Sadly, Peeples has lost vision in her one eye as a result of the scarring, but she certainly has spoken about the positive side of it. Specifically, even when addressing it for the first time in a 2024 Instagram post, she referred to it as, "My beautiful opalescent eye." Peeples has also referred to it as her, "Sacred eye." Unfortunately, despite undergoing surgery to try get some of her vision back, that hasn't happened. Still, in an update in late 2024, she gushed over how throughout the experience, she'd been forced to look "inward" and that she had a newfound appreciation for her, "Own amazingness ... beauty and strength." 

For what it's worth, it wasn't only Peeples who felt that way. To this day, fans continue to gush over how gorgeous she is, and she's even scored a few marriage proposals (which she laughed off, but said she appreciated nonetheless). As for her eye, we're going to have to agree with Peeples on how beautiful (and even ethereal) it is. 

Long before she was "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," Jane Seymour broke onto the scene as a Bond girl, so it's safe to say she's always been a stunner. Fast-forward to her 70s, and nothing has changed in that department. In fact, Seymour, who was born in 1951, is regularly asked how she manages to look so fresh. Spoiler alert: she's not going under the knife. 

Speaking to Page Six in 2026, Seymour said she was just fine with having wrinkles. "No lasers, no fillers, no lips ... this is what happens," she quipped to the outlet. One of the big reasons why, she said, was that she didn't feel a need to pretend to be younger than she was. "Sometimes I look in the mirror and I go, what am I trying to do? Trying to be 30 when I'm 75? I mean, maybe 60 would be nice," she joked. However, she pointed out that she didn't think she'd be able to do her job successfully if she had gone for the odd tweak. "For real, authentic emotion, you need every muscle to work," she said (though, perhaps because of a previous shady response from Joan Collins back in 2022, she also clarified that she supported anyone who did want to do it). 

As for what Seymour does do to stay looking so fresh, she's told Harper's Bazaar that spending time with her granddaughter and children played a big part in her feeling so youthful. "Because I'm included in their worlds and we spend a lot of time together, I don't find myself stuck in the 70-plus category ... trust me, it's really important. Because you don't want to bore the 50-year-olds with what happens when you're 70," she said. 

"Gossip Girl" fans will remember Kelly Rutherford best for her portrayal of Lily van der Woodsen, and "Melrose Place" lovers will know her as Megan Lewis, but before that, she played Dixie Cousins on "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr." Sadly, that particular '90s TV Western was canceled just one season in, but the show still gained a cult following. In 2026 one fan wrote in a YouTube comment, "Bruce Campbell was hot back in the day, he and Kelly Rutherford — best couple on a western, this show should have had a longer run." 

TBH, Rutherford doesn't look all that different today than she did in the '90s. Sure, there are some signs of aging, but at her age — she was born in 1968 — that's to be expected. Plus, she's still got an enviable glow and gorgeous skin, all of which played a role in her becoming a brand ambassador for French skincare brand Caudalie in 2025. 

Rutherford — who has become a social media icon dubbed "Birkin mom" thanks in part to her fabulous posts and contributions to her "Gossip Girl" character's on-screen wardrobe — has a fairly laissez-faire approach to aging. Though she spoke about using Botox back in 2008 (and encouraging others to talk about it if they did, too), she also shared in a 2026 episode of "Podcast Pause" that everyone should do what they want, and if they change their minds at some point, so be it. "No matter how you want to age, it's fine ... You can go down the path and say, 'Now I want to look a little more like this' ... the most important thing is that we've got our mind right and our energy right," she said. Well, it's clearly working for her!
