What The Surviving Cast Of Falcon Crest Looks Like Today

Ever wonder what the cast of "Falcon Crest" looks like now? With the vineyard-centered soap running from 1981 to 1990, sadly, not all of its stars are still with us. However, there are still a few who lead public lives, and they look incredible. Talk about aging like fine wine! First thing's first, a note on some of the "Falcon Crest" stars who have passed away over the years. Jane Wyman, who played the show's matriarch Angela Channing, was 64 when the show began and 73 when it ended. "Falcon Crest" turned out to be one of her final roles, and a few years after the show wrapped, she made one final onscreen appearance, as Jane Seymour's mother, in "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." Sadly, Wyman passed away in 2007 at the age of 90. 

Abby Dalton, who played Wyman's daughter Julia Cumson in "Falcon Crest," has also died. The actor was 88, and like Dalton, she'd also scaled back considerably on her onscreen gigs following her tenure on "Falcon Crest." Dalton's final role was in the 2013 short film "Mrs. Sweeney," as the titular character. Other members of the soap opera cast you may not know are dead include Mel Ferrer (Audrey Hepburn's first husband passed in 2008), Simon MacCorkindale, and Chao-Li Chi, who both died in 2010. Cliff Robertson, who many will also remember as Uncle Ben in the early-2000s "Spider-Man" trilogy, passed the following year. 

Among the cast members who are still alive, some have stayed in showbusiness, while others have tried new things. Lorenzo Lamas and Jamie Rose are both firmly in the latter camp, with Lamas still doing the odd acting role but working as a helicopter pilot for the most part, and Rose turning to mindset coaching. They've certainly kept their TV star looks, though!

Lorenzo Lamas played Jane Wyman's onscreen grandson Lance Cumson on "Falcon Crest." It was one of the '80s heartthrob's earliest roles, and he remained on the show for its full nine-season run. After the hit show wrapped, he famously went on to secure another heartthrob role in "Renegade," though as many will know, Lamas has since stepped away from acting full-time, opting instead to do projects as they come up while working primarily as a helicopter pilot. As he explained during a 2014 appearance on "Oprah: Where Are They Now?," "I'm in control of things happening in my aviation career [...] I love to act, but aviation is paying the bills now."

As for what Lamas looks like these days, while he sported a clean-cut, preppy look in "Falcon Crest," over the years he's played around with a bunch of different hairstyles, at one point even sporting his "Renegade" character's long, flowing tresses IRL too. For the most part, though, Lamas tends to go for shorter hair. Granted, he's still experimented here and there, even joining the silver fox club in 2022. However, despite sharing on Instagram that it was easier than back-to-back dye jobs, the '80s hunk has subsequently gone back to dark hair. 

It's possible he did so after ending things with Lamas' fifth (now ex)-wife, since he'd previously revealed that he kept the gray because she liked it. Then again, Lamas has also shared pictures of himself where the gray regrowth is visible again, so maybe the dye was just for a role. Hair aside, while there are some obvious signs of aging — which totally makes sense, given Lamas was in his early 20s in "Falcon Crest" and is now in his 60s — he's still recognizable.

Lorenzo Lamas might still be deciding if he wants to commit to the gray-haired club for good, but David Selby, who played Richard Channing on "Falcon Crest," has rocked the look for years now. "Falcon Crest" fans will no doubt remember Selby's luscious dark brown locks, but we wouldn't go as far as saying he's unrecognizable now that he's fully gray (though TBH, the octogenarian's strands are more white than silver nowadays). Selby's features have remained the same, which is great news for all of those who were drawn in by those gorgeous eyes (including us). 

Selby has continued acting over the years, and even made a very emotional appearance in a 2020 episode of "Chicago Fire," as a devastated widower. The actor appeared in just that one episode, but got his flowers all the same, with one YouTube viewer even gushing, "Another amazing performance by David Selby." Outside of "Chicago Fire," he has also appeared in "NCIS: New Orleans," "Todd Tarantula," and the award-winning indie film, "The Great Nick D." Selby regularly shares throwbacks of his past work on Facebook, and even has an "Air Dates" page on his website for fans who'd like to catch him onscreen in new productions and reruns alike. 

The page also shares links to his radio theater work. Selby's fans are appreciative, to say the least, with some taking to Facebook to thank him for sharing the link, and others saying they loved seeing some of his older projects again. "My husband and I had just been watching the 'Castle Rock' series. I was so happy to see David [...] at his creepiest!" one wrote. "Falcon Crest" may have wrapped decades ago, but it's safe to say Selby's definitely still a fan favorite.

In a 2025 interview with People, Susan Sullivan shared, "When you turn 80, longing is not over. You turn 80, [and] wishing to be seen as attractive and charming and win the room is not over. It's all there." It's just as well, then, that Sullivan, who played Maggie Gioberti on "Falcon Crest," is still gorgeous. These days, she's also rocking her grays and looks better than ever (which is saying something, since she's always been a major beauty). In the years since "Falcon Crest" ended, Sullivan has appeared in a number of high-profile shows and campaigns — "Castle," "Dharma & Greg," and Tylenol to name just a few — and she joked that she was doing pretty well financially as a result. 

"I have the beach house to prove it," Sullivan quipped. Still, she's continued working even as she's gotten older, making appearances in "The Kominsky Method," "Last Man Standing," and "The Grotto," among others. She also collaborated with former co-star David Selby for what she called, "A soap opera for seniors," (via X). Though she's joked a few times about dubbing it "The Old and the Restless," the retirement-themed project is actually called "What Friends Do." Unsurprisingly, "Falcon Crest" fans were thrilled to hear about it. "For real? I loved you two on 'Falcon Crest!'" gushed one user on X. 

"Maggie and Richard, I mean Susan and David, I am looking forward to it. Never missed FC!" penned another. Another commenter had one small concern, however, writing, "You are not a senior though." We reckon the actor got a real kick out of that one. Sadly, Sullivan was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2023, and lymphoma in 2025. However, she's on the road to recovery and we're wishing her the best.

Susan Sullivan and David Selby's onscreen son is in his 60s now, and much like his character's rival (played by Lorenzo Lamas), he's sporting much lighter hair these days. Granted, we're not sure we'd classify William R. Moses' locks as gray so much as a much lighter blond, nor do we know if there's any dye involved. One thing that is for sure, though, is Moses still looks great. Like many of his colleagues, the former soap star has appeared in a number of productions since exiting "Falcon Crest." Moses left the show a few years before it wrapped, starring in the movie "Mystic Pizza" alongside Julia Roberts and Matt Damon the very same year. 

He went on to feature in the "Perry Mason" films, "Melrose Place," "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," and "How to Get Away with Murder," along with numerous shorter stints on the likes of "NCIS," "Castle," and "Bones." While Moses has remained in touch with a number of his "Falcon Crest" co-stars over the years (he specifically mentioned Lamas and David Selby by name during an interview with the "Media Path Podcast"), he's not anticipating it making a comeback in the same way some '80s hits have. "It's aged [...] It does not age well," he argued. Just as well "Mystic Pizza" has, because he pointed out that more than three decades later, it still resonates with audiences, noting, "That holds up great." TBH, so does Moses!

While many "Falcon Crest" cast members have embraced their grays, Jamie Rose is still rocking her vivacious red locks. As with William R. Moses, we're not sure if that's pure luck — after all, Rose is in her 60s — or a really great colorist, but it's worth noting that the actor's hair isn't the only thing to have stayed the same. She's also just as lively and energetic as she's always been (and talk about some seriously enviable skin, with or without makeup!). Rose played Vicki Gioberti for the first three seasons of "Falcon Crest" and went on to make appearances in several other notable productions in the years that followed, like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Two and a Half Men." But she's also made a massive shift in her professional life as a mindset coach and author. 

The former actor detailed why she made that change on her website: "I was starring in a TV show, living in the Hollywood Hills, hanging out with the rich and famous (always an important pastime), and had just celebrated being for years sober [...] all the things that everyone said would make me happy. But it wasn't working." She got a coach to help her, then fell in love with everything she learned, and hey presto, new career. 

Rose has released "Facing Madame X: The Tools for Women." Even though she isn't in the spotlight in the same way her colleagues who've remained actors are, she's certainly one of the more regularly seen "Falcon Crest" alumni, and regularly posts coaching videos and life updates on her Instagram. Even so, we know we're not the only ones who'd be thrilled if she did return to acting, even if only for a cameo on "What Friends Do."
