Kelsey Grammer's Wife Is Young Enough To Be His Daughter
Frasier star Kelsey Grammer is arguably quite the ladies man, having had three wives before his current one, Kayte Walsh. Although Grammer and Walsh have been together for almost a decade, fans were scandalized when they first started dating, given that she's so much younger than him. The couple married in 2011, shortly after his divorce from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer. Walsh, who is British, was working as a flight attendant when she met Grammer on a flight to London in 2009, per Daily Mail. The two shared a "magical night" together, as Grammer later told Jimmy Kimmel (via Daily Mail), and the rest is tabloid and reality TV history. Just months later, they were engaged.
Walsh has said that she regrets the way she and Grammer began their relationship. She told Oprah Winfrey in 2012 (via ABC News), "I'm not proud of the way we started out. Because he was in a marriage." Grammer also had two young kids with Camille at the time, daughter Mason, born in 2001, and son Jude, born in 2004, causing many to further judge the relationship at the time. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that Kelsey's then-mistress was so young — there is a 26 year age difference between the two of them. When they got engaged, Kelsey Grammer was 55 to Kayte Walsh's 29, per People. Grammer and Walsh now have three young children together, including Faith, Kelsey Jr., and Auden.
While people often joke that Walsh could be her husband's daughter, they're not wrong. Grammer's oldest child, actress Spencer Grammer, who he had with first wife Doreen Alderman, is just three years younger than Walsh and has a child of her own, which makes Grammer a grandparent.
In all, Grammer has seven children with four different women. He is also the father to actress Greer Grammer, born in 1992, whom he had with Barrie Buckner, a hair and makeup stylist whom he did not marry. Per Yahoo!, his second marriage to Leigh-Anne Csuhany, which lasted between 1992 and 1993, did not result in any children.

For the many viewers who watched Kelsey and Camille Grammer's divorce play out on Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" or on the covers of tabloid magazines, his young new wife, Kayte Walsh, seemed sort of like the villain. But no one came out of that situation innocent, with Grammer going so far as to call Camille "pathetic" at one point, per People, despite his own role in the split.
But even Kelsey regrets filming those cringe-y moments with Camille for "RHOBH." He told Anderson Cooper in 2012, "It was just ill-advised. It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, 'Listen I've met somebody and this hasn't been working for a long time.' I regret not doing that. I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so it was very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us."
Kelsey and Camille were married for 13 years before their split — a milestone that Kelsey and Kayte will soon reach. The actor is determined to make this marriage work. He even got Kayte's name tattooed on his crotch to help him stay loyal, according to Entertainment Tonight. Whatever works! Now that Camille has moved on with her husband David Meyer, whom she married in 2018, it seems like everyone — including Kelsey and Kayte — is getting their happy ending.
Kelsey Grammer has raved about his wife
Despite the messy nature of Kelsey Grammer's previous relationships, his tune has very much changed in the way he talks about his love life. Moving on from the infidelity and "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" saga, Grammer makes it known that his union to Kayte Walsh is a thing of joy. "She has a pristine and extraordinary ability to love. She loves being pregnant and being a mom," Grammer told Closer Weekly in 2018. Even with the age gap between them, he expressed the thrill of keeping up with his young children and that "the energy is magnificent."
Walsh has kept fairly quiet since the wild whirlwind of attention they first received when pairing up, but has made it known that she would do it all again. She simply loves her husband. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Walsh addressed the most difficult part of stepping into the spotlight: "People judging you and not knowing anything about the truth." She added, "just marriage is hard generally."
Judgment has certainly faded over time with far less attention to the inner workings of their relationship. If all continues on their cheerful track, this marriage could easily be Grammer's longest.

Shortly after their one-year anniversary, however, they headed to Las Vegas for a small ceremony to exchange vows, per People, because why get married once when you can do it twice? Grammer shared his excitement and happiness while complimenting his bride: "Kayte's the most wonderful person in the world."
Walsh was pregnant at the time and her husband had a bit of fun with the whole thing. "I've always wanted shot-gun wedding pictures so we can show the kids later on!" He did share a sincere note about the couple's decision to wed one more time with People, explaining the desire to "celebrate and rededicate" themselves. Surely the chaos of how they originally got together left an odd feeling for their first nuptials, so why not clear the air with something more intimate?
The family has indeed grown throughout their relationship and Grammer has been bursting with love since meeting Walsh. As his oldest daughter — actor Spencer Grammer — shared on Instagram, "[He] has the biggest heart of anyone I know." In 2021, Grammer and Walsh were spotted in Calabasas with their three children and dog, according to Daily Mail. The family went for ice cream and seemed perfectly content on their walk. It looks like their doubled-up marriage is going very well.
