The Surprise Guest That Might Join Megan Thee Stallion At The Grammys

Megan Thee Stallion is gearing up for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. The Houston rapper is nominated for four Grammy Awards: Record of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song for "Savage," and Best New Artist. The 2021 Grammys mark the first time the "Big Ole' Freak" rapper received nominations, following the massive success from her debut commercial mixtape Fever in 2019.

Since the release and ensuing massive fame, Megan Thee Stallion has dealt with the good, the bad and the ugly parts of the music industry, receiving support and facing ridicule following the alleged shooting incident involving the rapper and artist Tory Lanez. Megan responded to the rumors swirling on social media with her debut album Good News in November 2020.

Arguably, one of Megan's biggest highlights of 2020 came in the form of a surprise collaboration with fellow Houston hottie Beyoncé. The Queen B joined the rapper on "Savage" in the summer of 2020, helping Megan score her first No.1 hit and three of her four Grammy nominations. So, who can fans look forward to seeing on the Grammy stage with Megan Thee Stallion? You guessed it ...Beyoncé.

Beyoncé might perform at the Grammys

In a December 2020 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Megan Thee Stallion revealed talks are happening that could set the stage for Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion to join forces on the Grammy stage. What could we expect from a Beyoncé x Megan Thee Stallion performance? Well, knowing Megan Thee Stallion, there will likely be twerking involved. And if Beyoncé's is involved, we could expect an elaborate, creative and original performance.

Megan Thee Stallion's three Beyoncé-featured Grammy nominations make up just one third of Beyoncé's nine nominations ahead of the 2021 award ceremony. Beyoncé adds on Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B song, Best R&B performance for "Black Parade," Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl" and Best Music Film for Black Is King.

"Just being from Houston, you have to know what Beyoncé just means to us," Megan Thee Stallion said in a December 2020 interview with Stephen Colbert. "She's like the standard, so being able to just speak to Beyoncé now, I'm like, girl, pat on the back because this is great." Apparently, Megan Thee Stallion's relationship with Beyoncé is so close now, she calls the star for advice, for which Beyoncé says, "Look queen, just rise above."
