A look back at Jennifer Aniston's younger years

Jennifer Aniston was a child of divorce and both her parents were actors. John Aniston became famous for his portrayal of Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. Her mother, actress Nancy Dow, appeared in popular TV sitcoms. According to USA Today, Aniston's parents divorced when she was only 9 years old. The actress worked through her anger at her dad after her parents' divorce, and remained connected to her father (via Amomama). She shared a throwback photo with her dad in December 2019:

But Aniston's relationship with her mom was a different story. The actress has been open about her complicated relationship with her mother. In a 2015 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston weighed in about her estrangement with her mom. "She was very critical of me. Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn't. I never was. I honestly still don't think of myself in that sort of light, which is fine. She was also very unforgiving. She would hold grudges that I just found so petty."

According to Us Weekly, Aniston's mother passed away in May 2016 after a long illness. The magazine said Aniston and her mom had reconciled in the years prior to Dow's death.

Jennifer Aniston broke into fame on 'Friends'

Friends premiered in 1994 and became one of the most popular TV sitcoms in history. Over 25 years later, fans are still just as invested in the characters of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey, as pointed out by Insider. The continued interest in the show has led to a reunion. According to the outlet, the Friends got back together in 2021 for a special on HBO Max.

Jennifer Aniston became the biggest name to come from the sitcom, and she leveraged her fame on Friends to become an international movie star. Even though the series ended in 2004, the stars of friends are still close. Aniston remains close with Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow. But she also shares a friendship with David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc.

Aniston and Cox have stayed best friends, years after the NBC sitcom ended (via Time). Cox teased her BFF by dressing up like Aniston on her birthday in 2020. Cox posted on Instagram, "No matter how hard you might try... there's only one Jennifer Aniston. Happy birthday my dear friend @jenniferaniston! I love you!"

Remember Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's marriage?

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were the queen and king of Hollywood before their divorce in 2005. After they split up, Pitt plunged into a relationship with Angelina Jolie. Aniston and the world found out later that Pitt and Jolie began their romance while Pitt was still married.

In January 2020, a source told Entertainment Tonight that both Pitt and Aniston have moved on from their past. The source said that Pitt "has 'apologized' for some of the past issues in their relationship." Us Weekly reported Pitt contacted Aniston after her mother died in 2016. A source told the magazine, "Brad contacted Jen after her mom died, and she was touched that he knew what a difficult time it was." According to the outlet, Aniston and Pitt built their relationship back into a friendship after Pitt's split with Jolie in 2016.

It appears the two stars are comfortable being friends. Aniston and Pitt broke the internet because of their flirty behavior at the 2020 SAG Awards. After some drama after their divorce in 2005, the two actors are just friends, despite the millions of fans who would love to see a romance.

Jennifer Aniston's best years are just beginning

Jennifer Aniston is proof that 50 is the new 30. Aniston built herself into a superstar from her days as Friends' Rachel Green. Then after years of being one of the top box-office stars, Aniston went back to the small screen when she agreed to co-star with Reese Witherspoon in The Morning Show. Aniston and Witherspoon are also executive producers for the Apple TV series, which won an Emmy in 2020 and was nominated for 21 awards. Aniston received rave reviews for The Morning Show and won the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series for her work.

Aniston has multiple endorsement deals, and in late 2020, she announced that she added Vital Proteins to her list of business deals outside acting. Page Six reported Aniston is the new chief creative officer for the collagen brand. As far as her love life, Aniston seems very content hanging out with her puppy Lord Chesterfield and keeping a low profile (pictured below).

Considering all Aniston has going on, she probably doesn't have time for serious relationship! We look forward to watching what this beautiful and talented star does next.

Jennifer Aniston's mid-50s are about expanding her brand

At 54 years old, Jennifer Aniston's growing creative and entrepreneurial triumphs make it pretty clear that she has much more art to offer the world. In fact, Aniston shared with the New York Times that she didn't agree with society's stance that turning 50 had to coincide with a waning career. "It's so weird. There's so much doom around that number," shared Aniston. She also revealed that crossing the five-decade mark opened up a new creative chapter for her. "I'm entering into what I feel is one of the most creatively fulfilling periods of my life. Seriously, I've been doing this for 30 years and I feel like it's just about to really bloom."

Aniston's 54th year, which officially started on February 11, 2023, has been especially successful. One month later, Aniston's second onscreen stint as Adam Sandler's wife — in "Murder Mystery 2" — premiered on Netflix. The comedy thriller starred two of Hollywood's most famous friends and the film's trailer quickly topped 16 million views, which is a fantastic indicator that fans fell in love with the pair's onscreen chemistry. Although the official figure hasn't been confirmed, Aniston potentially made 10 million dollars for her role (per Animated Times).

Jennifer Aniston is booked and busy

This year has also seen Jennifer Aniston expand the acting and producing portion of her resume. In January, Deadline announced that Aniston and Julia Roberts were slated to appear in a comedy called "Body Swap." Aniston and Roberts also sit on the producing team, as their respective production companies are helping to bring the film to life. During an interview with Collider, Aniston called the upcoming project — which started shooting over the summer — "a dream of mine forever and ever. Dream of mine."

Aniston has also made some super cool moves within the beauty and wellness industry. According to Aniston's Instagram, she's decided to capitalize on her fans' interest in the way she stays in tip-top shape. "I'm officially part of the @pvolve fam," Aniston captioned an Instagram video of her working out with a variety of equipment. "SO proud to support our female founder and the beyond talented trainers. This is one of my favorite workouts... and I'm so grateful for the team and excited for what's to come." Per Pvolve's official Instagram, the company "combines low-impact functional fitness with resistance-based equipment to deliver results beyond a traditional workout."

According to the company's website, Aniston was first affiliated with the company as a consumer. Now she's getting paid to work out. Yeah, 54 is working quite well for Aniston.
