The Bachelor: Why Fans Think Serena P. Has A New Bachelor Nation Flame
Seems like The Bachelor contestant Serena Pitt had the right idea. The Canadian publicist eliminated herself after her Hometown date with Matt James, landing her in fourth place. "I can't verbalize it or write it down, but there's something that's causing me this deep doubt," Serena told her family before bowing out, as reported by TV Insider.
Maybe it's for the best that Serena followed her heart. After all, Matt did not propose to either of his final two women, and ultimately broke up with winner Rachael Kirkconnell following the scandal surrounding her racially-charged social media activity. Serena for one was shocked by the news about Rachael. "I didn't expect it, there was nothing in the house that made me predict that something like this could be associated with Rachael," Serena told Entertainment Tonight. "I am really looking forward to her continuing that work and I think that she's got a great platform to be able to speak out and educate people on that."
Fans were hopeful that Serena would be the next Bachelorette, but that title went to both Katie Thurston and runner-up Michelle Young instead. But don't count Serena out of Bachelor Nation just yet. Audiences have reason to believe that Serena may grace the beach on Bachelor in Paradise, per Elite Daily, and it seems Serena may already have made a love connection with another franchise alum. Fans believe Ivan Hall and Serena Pitt would be a good match
Leave it to Redditors to spot a burgeoning Bachelor relationship. Fans discovered that Bachelorette star Ivan Hall and Bachelor contender Serena Pitt began following each other on Instagram, pointing to a possible flirtation. Ivan landed in third place on Tayshia Adams' Bachelorette season. (Tayshia is also slated to host the new Bachelorette season alongside franchise staple Kaitlyn Bristowe, per Us Weekly.)
Both Ivan and Serena had gracious exits from their respective seasons. Ivan and Tayshia ultimately split due to religious differences, and Serena took to Instagram to voice her gratitude for the series. "While my time on The Bachelor has come to an end the memories I made will last a lifetime," Serena wrote. "Matt and I inevitably went our separate ways but our relationship was something very special and I will forever be grateful for the time we spent together and the moments we shared. Though I did not find love I'm leaving this experience with a full heart."
Serena also revealed on podcast Bachelor Happy Hour (via Bachelor Nation) that she can now trust her gut, and is "capable of making those decisions and those calls independently" when it comes to love. Fans are already applauding her choice to connect with Ivan. "I think they'd be a very good match," one Reddit user commented. "I just hope they end up together after BiP!" another echoed. Guess we will just have to see what happens in Paradise!
