Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 5 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

Your favorite reality stars are headed back to the shore! MTV has officially greenlit Season 5 of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" and the cast of the hit reality show has a whole lot of fist-pumping, fighting, and of course, GTL (gym-tan-laundry) to do. Plus, could an engagement be on the horizon?

"The show's coming back, you guys," revealed Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi on her podcast "It's Happening with Snooki & Joey." The meatball found fame thanks to over a decade as the party girl on MTV's "Jersey Shore," alongside Jenni "JWoww" Farley, DJ Pauly D, Vinny Guadagnino, Mike Sorrentino, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Deena Cortese, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. The cast of "Jersey Shore" gave fans a glimpse into the guido party scene on the Jersey Shore for six seasons, and now they're back with growing families and real adult responsibilities. "There's no more drama anymore," revealed Snooki. "Well, there's drama here and there, but it's not going to take over the show. Because I've seen all the fan comments that the show's not the same anymore, that it's not fun anymore, that it's all drama. It's happening. The party's back, and it's going to be a good-a** time."

A "good-a**" time indeed, with some returning faces joining the cast in Florida (yes, the shores of Florida) to leave all their relationship ups and downs on the table for the world to see.

When will Jersey Shore Family Vacation return?

Despite confirmation that "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" would be returning for its fifth season, MTV has yet to announce a release date, but that hasn't stopped fans from finding clues on when their favorite shore stars would grace their television screens again.

First came a tip from Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi herself on her podcast "It's Happening with Snooki & Joey." After the reality star spilled the beans that Season 5 was in fact on its way, Snooki revealed the cast had already begun filming. "I just filmed — we're filming for next season," admitted the celeb. "I just did a scene with Deener, and we had a Meatball Day. We were drinking wine and having cheese, and we ended up getting drunk on her kids' swing set." Snooki and her best friend Deena Cortese coined the "meatball" nickname on the set of Jersey Shore thanks to both roommates' small size.

With the "Jersey Shore" cast already filming Season 5, we can only assume the season premiere will likely be in early 2022 and some die-hard fans have uncovered where the reality stars are staying. In a Reddit thread, fans shared video footage of some cast members in a Florida hotel with a camera crew. The detective super-fans put two and two together after Snooki and Lauren Sorrentino shared Instagram Stories with similar hotel decor. Seems like viewers are ready to see their reality star faves on the small screen again.

Who will be cast in Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 5?

While Season 4 of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" featured old favorites like Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, and even Angelina Pivarnick, Season 5 is adding to the party with the official return of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. Although the "Jersey Shore" meatball appeared in several episodes of Season 4 of the MTV series, People reports the celeb will have a permanent spot this time around.

Also rumored to make a return is Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, after the star left the show for "mental health issues." Four months sober, the reality star told TMZ in August that he is feeling "great" and ready to head back to the shore. "I quit drinking, got engaged, full-time father, you know, living a good life," Ronnie said. "I stepped away to deal with my mental health, be a father to my child, be a fiancé to my woman. I'll be back and, you know, all the fans love me and I love them too, so I'm going to give them what they want and I'll see them soon."

What else has the Jersey Shore cast been up to?

"Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" wouldn't be the shore without relationship drama. Fans that have followed the cast from the days of "Jersey Shore" have watched the break-up to make-up to break-up journey of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, the ups and downs of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and her husband Jionni LaValle, and Jenni "JWoww" Farley's divorce from Roger Mathews. With Season 5 of the MTV reality series on its way, viewers are expected to let out a collective "aww" with some sweet surprises.

Castmate DJ Pauly D is rumored to have proposed to girlfriend Nikki Hall during filming of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," according to Monsters & Critics. The couple has been open about the relationship on the show, after meeting on set of "Double Shot At Love." "The pandemic gave us a chance to focus on our relationship," the reality star told People. "She's friends with my 'Jersey Shore' family as well now, and their family. So it's been great. It's been a good time, and we're just taking it day by day. We're happy."

Pauly D isn't the only roommate returning to the "Family Vacation" in love. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino returns with wife Lauren, after the couple celebrated three years of marriage. Meanwhile, fellow castmate Angelina Pivarnick will be addressing their rumored separation after The Sun reported the couple will both appear in Season 5, despite speculation they were filing for divorce.
