The True Meaning Behind Bubbly By Young Thug With Drake & Travis Scott

It's certainly not unusual for Young Thug to work with other popular artists in the music industry. Just take a listen to "Came And Saw," his song with Rowdy Rebel and "Ski" by Young Thug and Gunna. There's also "'Paid the Fine," which also brings on Lil Baby and YTB Trench. Of course, there's also "Bubbly."

Found on Young Thug's "Punk" album, the song was released back on October 15, 2021 and features a collaboration with both Drake and Travis Scott. While it is not the first time the rappers have worked with each other, according to Genius, it is the first time that all three can be heard on the same song. Clearly, these stars get along.

In fact, despite "Punk" knocking Drake's "Certified Lover Boy" album out of the top spot on the charts, per Hypebeast, Young Thug and his friend still seemed to be on good terms. So much so that Young Thug gave Drake a super touching gift for his 35th birthday that same month: a massive diamond chain that included special (and surely expensive) nods to Drake's son Adonis. Young Thug is able to afford such a lavish gift because he happens to be doing pretty darn well for himself, which is something he addresses in "Bubbly."

Young Thug enjoys the finer things in life

"My career 'bout to blast like bubbly," Young Thug says in the first verse of the aptly named "Bubbly," according to Genius. In fact, the star's professional pursuits are going so well that he not only compares his success to a champagne bottle popping, but he also goes on to mention the kind of things that he's able to enjoy thanks to the fact that he's done so well.

"Ridin' in the Porsche, rockin' Tom Ford / I ball at Barneys, new Christian Dior / I took the jet to the New York store," Young Thug adds. On top of that, he is sure to drop mentions of other enviable things he can do and afford, like "goin' to L.A. on a private plane" and "put baguettes" (as in diamonds, not bread) "in my wrist and my neck and my ears and my motherf***in' chains." Frankly, he tells anyone who's listening, "I'm touchable? No, I'm too rich and too paid."

While it's clear that Young Thug is spending his time indulging in luxuries thanks to his hefty cashflow — which you can see on his Instagram account, where he posts about diamonds, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. He also keeps bringing up the fact that he's not enjoying all of these perks alone. Indeed, there's a woman with him — something that both Drake and Travis Scott also bring up when they take over the song's lyrics.

Success isn't the only thing on Travis Scott and Drake's minds

Young Thug is certainly not shy when it comes to boasting about his success in "Bubbly." However, when Travis Scott picks things up in the second verse, he boasts about a ... different kind of success.

"I want her, she wanted the same," Scott admits, according to Genius, giving the listener an inside look at his way with women. He continues to brag about pleasing her, rapping, "She lovin' the fest', I see it." Scott continues, "Yeah, I see it on her face, and I'm lovin' that body ... If I love you, I'll drop you a pin to a time and a place." Considering Scott has been in a (sometimes on, sometimes off) relationship with Kylie Jenner for years, you have to wonder if he's referring to her. Hmm ...

As for Drake, he takes over in the third verse and echoes what the other two have been saying. First, he touches on his own success, adding, "Wire just hit my account, never seen that amount / ... Been on the charts for five hundred weeks, so somebody love when I speak." He then connects it all to the women in his life — something he's done in other songs like "Get Along Better" — with: "Ride in the Porsche, rockin' Tom Ford / Rockin' her bed and the headboard." *Blush.*
