How Jennifer Garner's Relationship Is Completely Different From Ben Affleck And J.Lo's

At one point in time, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were one the golden couples in Hollywood. Much like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's marriage, the A-listers had a romance people couldn't help but gush over. The pair first met on the "Pearl Harbor" set in 2000, per Vulture, but didn't start dating until 2004. According to People, the couple wed in a ceremony in Garner's former home state, West Virginia. "They're married, and they're expecting their first child," a rep told the outlet in 2005. The same year, the pair welcomed daughter Violet Affleck, per People. The couple went on to have two other children, Seraphina and Samuel.

Sadly, things didn't work out for Garner and Affleck in the long run. The couple announced their separation in 2015, according to TMZ, but it wasn't until two years later that they filed for divorce. Garner stuck by Affleck's side during his stint in rehab, and Affleck came under fire for comments about Garner during an appearance on "The Howard Stern Show." Affleck said he turned to alcohol because he "felt trapped" in his marriage (via Today). Later, the actor  clarified his comments, telling Jimmy Kimmel that headlines made his words the "exact opposite of what" he really said.

Affleck famously rekindled his romance with Jennifer Lopez in 2021, and the pair has not been shy about raving over one another. While Garner moved on with John Miller, the couple has a different approach to their romance.

Jennifer Garner and John Miller are notoriously private

When it comes to Jennifer Garner's romance with John Miller, things are different than the situation with her ex Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. It seems like we can't go a day without seeing a Bennifer 2.0 headline, which is why Garner finds comfort her life with Miller. "She loves how little he cares for the limelight or the whole Hollywood scenester stuff," a source told Us Weekly of the laid-back romance, adding that it's "very different" from Affleck and Lopez. "You'll never see them ham it up for the cameras or fixate about what events to attend together, it's just not their style." Sort of refreshing, right?

"They're happier being a regular, under-the-radar couple and don't need anyone else's validation to know they're meant to be together," the insider added, noting that they're not "taking digs" at anyone else, but that's just the way it is. Garner and Miller first linked up in 2018. The pair reportedly split in 2020 following a two-year romance, but the breakup didn't last long. In March, the pair was spotted together at the JFK airport in New York City, per E! News.

Back in May 2021, an insider close to Garner and Miller told Us Weekly that the couple "had remained friendly since their breakup" and now, "they're determined to make it work." We can only imagine that the couple will wed in an uber-private ceremony ... if it ever comes down to it.
