The Truth About Nick Viall's Drama With Madison Prewett

Some would say that Madison Prewett came out of Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor looking like a sweet, innocent victim. She was open about her religion, she admitted that she is saving herself until marriage, and she kept her composure as Peter's mother told her off in front of Bachelor Nation and the world (via Daily Mail). But now, Madison's character is being questioned, courtesy of Bachelor alum Nick Viall (pictured left).

On his podcast, The Viall Files, the reality star spilled his opinion on the current drama between Madi, Pete, and Bachelor contestant Kelley Flanagan. As Bachelor fans may know, Kelley and Peter began officially dating in April 2020, after deciding to quarantine together in the attorney's Chicago home (via People). Their relationship news came just weeks after Peter called it quits with Madison and a few months after he broke off his engagement to Hannah Ann Sluss in front of the ABC cameras.

Let's dig a little deeper to uncover the truth about Nick Viall's drama with Madison Prewett, shall we?

Madi threw shade at ex Peter

After Madison Prewett found out about Peter Weber's new romance with Kelley Flanagan (because Peter told her about it), she spilled some piping how tea on Kaitlyn Bristowe's podcast, Off the Vine. Prewett claimed that just days before going public with Flanagan, Weber texted her to say he still loved her and wanted to get back together.

"He was, like, calling me and texting me being like, 'I miss you, let's get back together,'" Madison said, claiming she was totally blindsided by news of his new romance with her "best friend." Madi said she and Kelley were "inseparable" during their reality TV tenure, so discovering that her pal was shacking up with her ex was a lot to digest. "I was definitely hurt and thrown off by that whole situation," Madison said. "I want the best for the both of them, but I definitely was thrown off."

Pilot Pete and Nick Viall had some strong words for Madi

Peter Weber — aka "Pilot Pete" (pictured left)— responded to Madison Prewett's shade in the comments of a fan account on Instagram, according to People: "@madiprew you'd think you'd have a little more respect for this situation given we both know there's more to the story," he wrote.

Fellow Bachelor alum Nick Viall (pictured right) had a lot to say about Weber's cryptic response. "Peter might be a lot of things. He might have been sloppy. You could have argued that maybe he's got some maturing to do. He's certainly indecisive, but what Peter has also been is honest, even to a fault, almost," Nick said on his podcast. "He's been so honest that he's probably gotten himself into more trouble than he needed to, where other leads have been a little bit more measured and made decisions a little bit more based off of what the audience might think, and Peter truly hasn't done that. We also know Madison to be a little bit of a liar."

Nick Viall is not a fan of Madison Prewett

On The Viall Files podcast, Bachelor veteran Nick Viall accused fellow reality star Madison Prewett of creating a fake Instagram account to comment on her own photos.

As fans may recall, Madison came under fire when she posted a photo of one of her dates with Bachelor Peter Weber on Instagram and then left a comment to herself from her own account. "Beautiful date Madi. You are so genuine and real," the comment read. That mishap became a meme, and fans slammed her for allegedly forgetting to switch over to a fake Instagram account before leaving the flattering comment. Friends of Madison said the compliment was actually posted by her sister, who was supposedly signed into Madi's account (via BuzzFeed).

"I mean, people want to forget — I know Madison wants to forget it, but her Instagram," Nick said on his podcast. "She commented on her own Instagram. It's a fact she did that."

Nick is on Peter's side in the love triangle drama

Nick Viall evidently has some strong feelings about the Peter Weber/Kelley Flanagan/Madison Prewett drama, because he could not stop slamming Weber's Bachelor runner-up in his podcast, The Viall Files.

Nick alleged that Madi is "calculated" and portrays herself as someone she's not. "Being a good Christian isn't just about not kissing and having sex with other people and talking about God," he said. "There's a lot more that goes into that, like humility and honesty and things like that, and a lack of vanity, and all the things that as humans we do. I'm hypercritical of that kind of behavior."

Nick said he doesn't have a personal problem with Madison, but he does have an issue with how she has acted towards Peter. "Don't be righteous and a liar at the same time — I have a problem with that," Nick said.

At this time, Madison has not publicly responded to Nick's scathing comments.
