This Sex And The City Star Is Completely Unrecognizable

How well do you remember the characters on Sex and the City? Would you recognize the actors who played them if you spotted them on the street these days? Before you answer yes or no, you should probably consider the fact that it would likely depend on who you bump into.

While the four main ladies who appeared on the show — Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall, and, of course, Sarah Jessica Parker — pretty much look the same as they did while starring on the hit HBO series, at least two of the men who played their love interests have undergone major transformations since their days on the show. In fact, you might think they're downright unrecognizable.

Just check out Chris Noth (who fans know as Mr. Big ) while in isolation during the coronavirus pandemic. In April 2020, he shaved his head bald and looked like a different man. Seriously, it was shocking! And he's not alone. Scroll down to find out how different Jason Lewis (a.k.a. Smith Jerrod) is looking these days.

Jason Lewis ditched golden locks for a scruffy beard

Jason Lewis played Smith Jerrod, an aspiring actor who became romantically involved with Kim Cattrall's character, Samantha Jones, on Sex and the City. The show originally ran from 1998 until 2004, with follow-up movies hitting theaters in 2008 and 2010. That means there's been plenty of time for the actor to alter his appearance in the years since Smith found success on both the fictional and real-life screen.

Although Lewis continued to work in the industry after his time on SATC and nabbed various roles on shows such as Brothers & Sisters and How I Met Your Mother, he was nearly unrecognizable to the casual fan when he appeared on Channel Seven's The Morning Show in late June 2020. "Gone were the iconic shaggy blond locks and clean-cut look that he once sported on the beloved HBO show," reported the Daily Mail. "Instead, Jason displayed a rugged beard and a head of slicked-back dark hair." Does anyone else get an Ewan McGregor vibe?

This is also quite a change from the super long hair and cardigan-wearing style that Lewis was sporting during an interview with KTLA 5's Morning News Show in 2017. He had a mustache then as well, so maybe the facial hair is here to stay?

One thing about Jason Lewis has 'ab'solutely not changed

Jason Lewis may have changed certain aspects of his appearance over the years, such as the hair on his head and on his face, but one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that he's still in tip-top shape. Back on Sex and the City, his form was so fine that it helped his character score an Absolut Vodka ad that saw him pose in the buff. Most of his body was on display — with a bottle strategically placed over his lap in order to cover up his bits. What fans could see was his super toned body.

These days, his six-pack is still around. In fact, Lewis occasionally whips off his shirt to give social media followers a look at his bod while fighting for survival in Midnight,Texas or lounging in a hammock.

If you're curious about how he's able to keep in such good shape, just check him out doing slack yoga, which involves doing poses while balancing on a rope. It looks tricky, but it's certainly doing the trick when it comes to helping Lewis stay fit and turn heads. Just ask his former SATC co-star.

One SATC actor couldn't keep his 'hands off' Jason Lewis

It may have been years since Sex and the City was entertaining fans with its racy storylines, but the stars of the show occasionally bump into each other at industry events. That's what happened when Jason Lewis showed up to the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in February 2020 and bumped into Willie Garson, who played Stanford Blatch on the series. When the pair posed together on the red carpet, Lewis was looking as good as ever — which is something that Garson could seemingly appreciate.

"As always, a big thanks to [Brooks Brothers] for dressing me in a beautiful velvet tux," Lewis captioned an Instagram post that showed him giving Garson a kiss on the cheek as the men embraced. "[M]y lady couldn't keep her hands off of me ... and apparently neither could @willie.garson." Lewis added an emoji with its tongue out to surely show that he was being cheeky, but we certainly wouldn't blame Garson for enjoying a hug.

Speaking of the aforementioned "lady," we assume he was referring to producer Liz Godwin. The par got engaged on Dec. 27, 2019. It seems safe to assume that this is one groom who will look dreamy on his wedding day!
