Dolores' son Frankie Catania has similar lofty career goals. Per Page Six, Frankie is studying at Seton Hall University to become an investment banker. Real Housewives of New Jersey kids Frankie Catania and Gia Giudice have reportedly known each other for years! Twenty-two-year-old Frankie even took Gia, 19, to her senior prom in May 2019. The childhood pals may be friendly, but there isn't romance on the horizon for these two... yet.
Dolores Catania told Page Six in February 2021 that perhaps the prom date didn't blossom into something more because "the timing isn't right," especially since son Frankie is aware of how demanding a career in finance can be. "He can't give a girl what she needs right now," Dolores summarized.
Yet in July 2020, Frankie confirmed to Hollywood Life that he does, in fact, have special woman in his life. "I actually do have a girlfriend. Happily in a relationship," he admitted, before pointing out that Gia is similarly dating someone else. "[We're] very close. We both get along very well. She has a nice boyfriend... I'm very happy for her." Gia is currently linked to Christian Carmichael, and went public with their relationship in March 2020, per Life & Style.
However, Dolores is still holding out hope that Frankie and Gia may seriously date later in life. "We all know how I feel about Gia, but... I'm not all for young relationships," Dolores told Hollywood Life. We guess time will tell whether the Catania and Giudice families will be tied together forever!
Gia Giudice's love life has been in the public eye
Growing up on Real Housewives of New Jersey, it's understandable that Gia Giudice's love life has similarly found the limelight. The teen has gone public with two beaus: her high school love Nick Recchia, and current boyfriend Christian Carmichael. It has to do with being tall, dark, and handsome, of course.
Per Superb Hub, Nick is five years older than Gia. The pair dated from 2016 to 2018, and met in high school... even though Nick is significantly older than her. Gia went to prom with Nick in 2017, as reported by Hit Berry, and her mother Teresa Giudice approved of their relationship. "My baby Gia is going to prom with her adorable handsome Bf Nick! Love them to pieces," Teresa commented on Gia's photo. Teresa even told Page Six that she thanked God for how lucky she was that Gia found love with Nick.

Gia went public with her relationship with Christian on TikTok in March 2020. Following her post, Frankie told Page Six that he will always support Gia's romantic choices — even if they don't involve him. "I'm not mad at all. As long as she is happy and he treats her right, I am happy for her," Frankie said. "At the end of the day, she's my friend, and if something was to happen in the future with us — time will tell."
Per Us Weekly, a source close to the Giudice family said both Frankie and Christian are "absolute dolls" and Gia has her choice between two great men. "The family is just happy that Gia is happy," the source concluded. We'll just have to wait and see if Frankie pursues Gia after his studies!
