Olivia Rodrigo Reveals Her Number One Celebrity Crush

Olivia Rodrigo definitely spent early 2021 living her best life. The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star has reached new heights in her career thanks to the release of her song "Drivers License," which, as of this writing has spent seven weeks in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has become an instant hit, garnering a great deal of attention, including a shout-out from the queen of break-up songs herself, Taylor Swift

During its Feb. 20, 2021, broadcast, Saturday Night Live also got in on the "Drivers License" buzz. The skit featured host Regé-Jean Page and a number of SNL cast members as they poked fun at the song and the alleged love triangle between Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, and Sabrina Carpenter, that inspired it. Rodrigo was clearly a fan of the skit, which just so happened to air on the same day as her 18th birthday. "DRIVERS LICENSE SNL SKETCH IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER IM SHAKING," the young singer excitedly shared on Twitter

As it turns out, however, Rodrigo may have another reason for enjoying the skit, and it involves a certain celebrity crush. Keep reading to find out who it is!

Olivia Rodrigo says Pete Davidson is her 'biggest celebrity crush'

Pete Davidson has caught the eye of many Hollywood stars over the past few years, and, as it turns out, Olivia Rodrigo is one of them! In a March 2021 interview with Radio.com, Rodrigo opened up about the Saturday Night Live skit and how exciting it was to see Davidson participate in it. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think they were going to do a 'Drivers License' sketch where they played like the entirety of 'Drivers License,' and Pete Davidson, who is my biggest celebrity crush, was singing it and comparing me to Taylor Swift who is my idol," the singer explained. "It was just insane," she added, noting that it was her "18th birthday too, so it was a crazy day."

Rodrigo certainly isn't the first star to crush on Davidson. The comedian had an infamously over-the-top relationship with Ariana Grande back in 2018, though the couple broke things off that same year. Davidson followed up his high-profile romance with some more low-key flings with Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, and Kaia Gerber

As for Rodrigo, she hasn't been linked to anyone since her alleged romance and falling out with her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett. Considering the fact that "Drivers License" is almost certainly about their falling out, it's safe to say that the song's success is likely helping Rodrigo get through her heartbreak just fine.
