Celebs Who've Revealed Their Celebrity Crushes

We've all been there: that moment when you see someone and just feel hopelessly infatuated with them based on appearance, personality, or talent. Regardless of whether you're all-in on a real person in your daily life, a celebrity you dream about, or an idealized fictional character, a crush can happen to the best of us whether we are looking for one or not. Then, you start dreaming about what life could be with that one specific person and start and falling for them, regardless if they even know we exist.

All our favorite stars are really just like us: they also have massive and potentially embarrassing crushes on mega-stars too. Similarly, they sometimes don't always know the best way to act if they meet them in person. I mean, if we saw Michael B. Jordan or Jennifer Aniston walking down the street, we would get totally tongue-tied if we approached them. But knowing that the likes of Tiffany Haddish and Cole Sprouse are in similar boats as us is oddly comforting. Here's a handful of mega-famous celebrities who've revealed their famous crushes and what it was like when they actually met them.

While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, acclaimed actress Diane Keaton revealed her crush on Magic Mike star Channing Tatum. She went on to explain how the idea of being devoted to a single person for decades is moving, To which, DeGeneres chimed in that it wasn't too late for her. Diane Keaton's immediate reaction was the following: "Who's gonna? Wait. Oh! Channing Tatum?" While DeGeneres revealed he was married at the time, Keaton was confused that he was married to someone else that wasn't her.

When DeGeneres followed up on the question, she asked Keaton if she'd ever get married. Her response? If it's "to Channing Tatum." Well, Ms. Keaton, now that Tatum is single once more, you may still have your chance! Throughout Keaton's illustrious career, we've seen her date the likes of Warren Beatty, Woody Allen, Jack Nicholson, and Al Pacino. She even revealed to TODAY, years ago, that she regrets not getting married. She told Matt Lauer at the time, "I wasn't asked. But I did ask. I asked all of them. I did. Every one of them, and they all said no."

Dame Helen Mirren is an icon in her own right; after all, not many actresses can play the Queen of England multiple times like a true boss. Well, even the queen herself has some crushes, too. During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers (via Entertainment Weekly), Mirren revealed that she finds action star Vin Diesel "so smart, and so funny, and so cool." She dished that after she watched him give a speech at a ceremony they both attended, she "just sort of fell a little bit in love with him right there and then."

The acclaimed actress also told Yahoo that she'd like to star alongside Diesel. She said, "My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie. I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie. My claim to fame is I always do my own driving — I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time. I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me." "I love Vin Diesel," Mirren added. "He's a great guy, smart — I love him. It's partly because of him I'd like to be in one, but also the driving." Hear that, Vin Diesel? Get your casting team right on this!

Before funny lady Tiffany Haddish found love with rapper Common during quarantine, she was a famously single comedian who even endorsed the dating app Bumble and was never afraid to talk about the men she found attractive. In an interview with Buzzfeed, Haddish revealed her crushes on both Michael B. Jordan and Trevor Noah by name. She even attempted to ask them out, but alas, they both said no. During the interview, she revealed, "I have met my celebrity crushes. There are several and when I met them I asked them on a date, asked them if I could cook for them, asked if I could rub on their bodies." She then added that "they all turned me down."

While those crushes didn't pan out, now Haddish is happily in a relationship with Common, certainly proof that everything happens for a reason!

Riverdale star Cole Sprouse has been on our crush lists long before he put on Jughead's signature beanie. He first won our hearts after appearances in Big Daddy, Friends, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. In several interviews discussing his child stardom, Sprouse mentioned that when he played Ross' son Ben on the hit NBC sitcom, he had a massive crush on Jennifer Aniston. It may have been odd considering he was in elementary school and she played his on-screen stepmother of sorts, but the heart wants what it wants.

During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Sprouse revealed his crush on the famous actress made it "quite difficult to work in front of her." He explained that, "I was a child. I would stammer a lot, and I would forget my lines. I feel like I'd maintain my composure a bit more effectively now, but it was quite difficult when I was a kid." Not only that, but the entire crew knew of Cole's crush and proceeded to tease him about it on set. "I was teased a little bit by the crew because they saw it. I would just forget, and be looking at her," he continued. "But then, the whole world had a crush on Jennifer Aniston."

Ahh, Jonathan Taylor Thomas; thinking of him digs up fond memories of some of our first celeb crushes back in the '90s! It turns out, Emma Roberts knows exactly what those days were like. In a 2015 interview with Kelly Ripa (via People), the Scream Queens actress dished on her "intense" childhood crush on JTT. She even mentioned that she'd cry just from looking at a poster of the dreamy child star and admitted to collaging her walls with pictures of him.

"I'm literally getting flushed thinking about it," Roberts said during the Live with Kelly & Michael interview. "Remember when you are younger and you have crushes where you are sobbing just looking at a poster of them? That's how intense is." She continued, "I used to collage my whole room for hours with pictures of Jonathan Taylor Thomas and a couple of other people. It was a little creepy, almost. I think it was a little stalkerish." At the end of the segment, Ripa tried to prank the starlet by saying that JTT was backstage, and Roberts actually screamed before catching onto the joke.

While Niall Horan's former One Direction bandmates were often coupled up with or linked to other stars, he was the lone single lad of the group for the longest time. So James Corden tried to stir the pot when they appeared on his talk show during a Carpool Karaoke segment in 2015. Corden had Horan play a game of "Would You Rather" in which the musician dished that he'd choose to marry his rumored former flame Selena Gomez out of a field also including Demi Lovato and Tina Fey. It should be noted that he chose Gomez to marry rather quickly during the challenge. While it was just a game for fun without any real implications, this story soon became front-page news as multiple global outlets reported his big crush on the former Disney star.

His crush on the Selena + Chef star goes back much further, as he revealed in a SiriusXM interview (via Elle) that she was one of his first celebrity crushes. During this interview, when he was asked about his first crushes, he said, "Selena Gomez or Mary-Kate and Ashley. Mary-Kate and Ashley, their show was great...I had all the tapes. They're twins. You know, there's two of them, and they're both great-looking. And Selena's just really cute."
